It is so weird when comparing posts. TheSPortsAnimal posted two weeks ago that an announcement was coming soon. In factn interveiws hadn;t even begun at that point.

In defense of the TheSportsAnimal, I also heard that an announcement was coming a couple of weeks ago, but we all know how rumors are. Technically, the job has to stay open for 30 days, but I am pretty certain that interviews do not have to be given, especially w/no teaching openings which was the case at one point.

 

It makes me think that something has changed with this situation. With teaching positions opening, if any, maybe they want to look outward. Obviously, the hiring from within is still a possibility, but they could hire from w/in w/out all of this process and what seems to be a bit of drama!

 

Perhaps, they are going through the motions and already know who will be the coach! Wouldn't surprise me a bit and I still hear it is Persinger's job to lose!

Just got word, NO interviews this week!

 

Applications were sent to the HS today from the Board Office. Everything is in the hands of the principal now!

 

Here is hoping that the Site Based Council and the principal will get things going and set up the interviews. Interview and then hire, SOON!

What is better then a bunch of old ball players and alumni trying to figure out the next ball coach. Im excited what about you? I have a idea let's have a shoot out for the coaches position. Persinger and Hinson deffinetely don't want Patrick Kelsch in that he was a shooter from way back. 7 behind the high school my money is on the Kelsch kid from Augusta.

Id like to see them one on one. I think Hinson can take him. Kelsch could shoot but played no defense.

Are we talking about now or back in the day?? Today I know for a fact from seeing them both play in their later years that Jason Hinson would blow him out of the water. I'm not sure how the conversation got turned around to this, but again, Hinson is by far the better shooter today! I also hope by you all bringing his name up, that you would want him as the Bracken County Boy’s basketball coach, because if so, you all really have some problems!!

Not for certain how this topic came up, but it at least it adds some more intrigue to an already testy and dramatic situation! Never seen so many people in a small county on pins and needles about a coaching hire. That can't be all bad though!

 

Shooter or hitter, regardless it went in! Hinson may be quicker than Kelsch now!

Think all of Bracken County wants a mature, serious individual, preferably married who's mind is solely on building this program from top to bottom about the kids

If were talking just a spot up shooting contest between the 2 it would be a classic.

Former Campbell County assistant who worked with Dan Sullivan and coached on the Region 10 Champion squad. He has signed a contract to teach math at the high school. Also, is wanting the basketball job. Jerry Gross, played college ball in Tennessee somewhere.
