We can all name certain instances, however, ones that come to my recent mind that is much less than 10 years ago is Lone Oak this year, they fumbled some snaps and couldn't get under center in the state game and had no run game to wind the clock down, they lost because of this IMO. Russell beating Owensboro Catholic where Russell threw the ball 0 times and Catholic ran it 0 times. Russell and Mercer County in the State Championship game and both were run, run and more run. Belfry beating E-Town where Belfry won by not throwing any and E-town lost by not running it any. You also cannot compare NFL to high school because there is too much variety in high school and none in the NFL. I don't think anyone will argue that an NFL team could win by running the ball all the time, because they couldn't. There isn't a college team that can win it all by doing it either. That is running it 95% of the time. There as to variety at those levels, however, high school has proved itself that the run game is very much a huge factor. Running teams can thrive every bit as much as passing teams can. I cannot think of a team that has ever won it by throwing the ball 95% or more of the time. However, I can name schools who run it more than 95% or more of the time. Control the clock and have a great defense, you can win a lot of games.

Oregon and Iowa are succussful but a different kind of successful. They don't sniff the competition week in week out that these other perrenial powers do and they also have sub par seasons more frequently. Not sure how much spring football has to do with D1 signings and I'd venture to say none, however, it is a plus to football programs to allow their players an extra 30 practices over the span of 3 years to find the right position for them and possibly allow them to progress at that position s the year goes on, instead of just finding a place for them in July. Remember this is just D1 signings, so it is possible that spring ball accelerates some scholarships but to limit it to D1, I'd say it doesn't have much effect.

It would likely be a great rivalry week in Round 2 of the North vs. South matchup, if that happened. I'd say Southwestern is a real possibilty as well and Coach A always has a great squad, very disciplined bunch.

I'd say at this point that is a goal of the Jaguars considering they haven't made the playoffs since 2004 I believe. They've never won a playoff game. That should be their second goal I'm sure once they've reached the playoffs.

Are you serious? You must work the paper in Somerset because there are as many lies in this statement as there were in the article. NL had NO film of PC practice. Pulaski County was LIVE in person coaches and all at NL scrimmages. PC no longer has a ball in the court, it is OVER. There is no game between the two teams, please MOVE ON. There has to be NO MUTUAL AGREEMENT, if you really believe that then I've got some beach front property with a great view of the ocean for you to buy, it is located just about 10 miles outside of Somerset. Beat a Regional Champion Beat a #1 seed in 5A Beat a #2 seed in 4A Beat a #3 seed in 5A NL scored more points this year than the previous 6 years. NL gave up less points this year than the previous 5 years. (Almost 100 less than last season) NL's JV went undefeated NL is not just a flash in a pan, they will progressively get better and better each year. Whatever AXE you have to grind at Larkey and NL, take it somewhere else because you have a serious problem of letting things go. The article left a lot to be desired, such as not mentioned that the contract was discussed about not being renewed last season and I guess if NL really wanted to throw PC under the bus then they would've sent them a check in July and said find a game now. There are plenty of teams wanting a game in week 0 and 10 right now, but in July there wouldn't have been any.
