I didn't say they would threaten Boyle County later, only that it is not in their minds at this time. They played Boyle County better than most would think and no one would argue that Boyle County is a machine this year. If they removed the starters, that would seem to me that either A) the coaching staff didn't evaluate that well or B) lesser talented kids are now playing in their place because I also saw the Somerset game and the Jumpers abused the PC D-line just as bad and that was after the NL game. PC has not played anyone since that would even compare to Rock.

Interesting note I observed on Perry County Central; their SOS is (-17.3). It will be fin to see how their season pans out.

Their offense will do more damage than North Laurel's did and that was a lot. As far as Boyle County goes, that would be for the Semi's. I don't think anyone is thinking that far ahead and Rock did lead Boyle County for a while and kept it very close a lot longer than most predicted. Eastham is a better passer than Muse, but Rock beat PC last year with him, no reason they can't they can't do it this year.

I predict the quickest high school game played on Friday.

Last year they lost to Sheldon Clark by 2, Hazard by 2 and Prestonsburg by 1.

Can someone add the series record, it seems every year Ironton, OH wins, just curious of the past tradition for these two teams head to head.

There was a thread on this a while back, their enrollment currently has more than some 3A school now, but it is based on male enrollment and the discussions dropped, but I also believe they will be 3A in 2011. I just can't figure out where they will go, it has to be either District 6 or 8. District 5 is already loaded with 6 teams while the others only have 4. That would match them up with Breathitt County, Belfry and/or Sheldon Clark. A much tougher district than they are in now, they are in the easiest district in the state currently IMO and with only 3 district games to play.

I can't figure out how Madison Southern who has had a D1 player on their team for 4 years has went winless this long and not to mention being located in a populated county such as Richmond that produces talent all over the county.

You must have a major chip on your shoulder because worrying this much about a little ole' 5A school who hasn't won 10 games in 5 years is really causing you to stress out. What and why is Corbin that thrilled to death to schedule and rub in a win against a team far inferior to the Mighty Hounds. I guess it may be the future that is worrisome...:notworthy:

Knox is a different animal than Mccreary Central has seen all year. If they win they can be legit contenders this year, if not..They still have a nice ball club.

Even though the score was lopsided, I feel both teams got a lot out of the game and made each other better, it looked like a hard fought game regardless. Good Luck the rest of the season!:thumb:

What were you doing on the sidelines of North Laurel in all 3 games? I mean to hear the coaches tell the players good job for dirty hits, I'm sure their coaching staff just loves to have 15 yard penalities, as a matter of fact I bet they set aside 30 minutes of practice a day to teach cheap shots. What a joke, Nl played better than you expected and hit the Corbin boys right in the mouth from the get go and it left a bad taste, the hit on Watkins was definatley before the whistle, recongition or not he was on the field trying to make a tackle and got hit. If you want to play that game then it is a shame that all night #12 had to get hit late out of bounds because of the recongition he has had, Corbin just trying to knock him out of the game I guess...:rolleyes:Get a clue:puke:

18th straight loss for the Eagles of Madison Southern.

Lee High, VA ousted by two straight Kentucky teams in back to back weeks. They have given up 102 points in 2 weeks to Harlan County and Boro'. I'd be willing to guess Lee's Sophomore RB did the scoring.

Game was tied 8-8 at the half. Good game by both squads.

Quality win for Mitchell and Co. Congrats!

Exactly what I saw also, very obvious that led to a huge play on a 9 minute 3r quarter drive. That didn't lose the game for North but like another poster said on here, the score wasn't really indicative of how the game went. I know NL had 3 drives that went into double digits and lots of yardage, turnovers and Corbin's experience won over. People need to remember that these NL seniors have just won 5 games in high school, they are making great strides. And just to set the record straight NL's varsity didn't score on Corbins JV/9th grade. It was also NL's JV expect the QB and 1 WR. Corbin didn't substitute until 3:30 left anyway in the game. Neither team should hang their heads, pretty good game overall.

Excellent posts MT, anyone who is solely blaming NL is wearing red glasses, another number from Corbin I could see all night taunting the NL sidelines, but I won't mention numbers as others have. It amazes that it was alright and the Corbin kid was trying to stop from hitting late, but when NL does it, it is blatant. You could tell from the game tonight NL hit Corbin hard and emotions were running high, Watckins never was really a factor tonight like he was against Danville, refs were no where to be seen tonight.
