GRC vs Holmes
They better play more then 6 or 7 against GRC or they could be in trouble.

GRC vs Holmes
When I seen them play they played 8 players consistant. I did not say they had a good bench. I said they have a very athletic bench which included the JV players. I think the JV was very athletic when I saw them.

GRC vs Holmes
I think the difference is going to be GRC without Jones. Rice is very quick inside for Holmes. He is a deadly shooter out to 10'. I think Hill and Knowles will get their points. Holmes has a very athletic bench as does GRC. I think Holmes wins this game by single digits only because GRC is without Jones. Go CARDS represent the 10th well!

Pendleton County 67 Augusta 45
Good game for the Cats. Played 11 players before the end of the 3rd period. This game could have been a 30+ blowout. Simms pulled the defense back early in this game, or it would have been blow out city. Belcher needs to get more touches. Our players need to learn to get the ball to him quicker. They miss him way to many times when he is open. I know this can be a problem with a taller team, but Augusta is not tall. They missed him way to much last night. I was pleased with the guard play from the bench last night. Harden and Myers hit some nice 3's last night. There was a comment made that #15 doesnt hit 3's in a game like he did last night, and I would agree with that to a point. When is as wide open as Augusta left him he will put those in the basket. I really thought from all the reading I have done on here about Augusta they would give a us a better game. The White kid tries to do way to much. He needs to get more of his team mates involved. He is good going to the hole, but needs to pass more instead of trying to shoot so much. This may work for him with playing a team that is small inside. I think Augusta will only improve as the season continues, but I also think PC will improve, also.

I was at those 30-40 point win games and Biggs did play the JV a lot last season. How many of them did you see? I never seen anyone as down on PC the last 2 seasons as you are. I know that it is hard for you to handle that PC took out the Stangs with the good teams they had. We only get this type of team every 25 or 30 years let us enjoy it. Life is to short to be so negative. Give the Cats some slack, and good luck to the Mustangs. I for one think they have the horses to go to the State.

I am going to support the 10th Region and go with BB. I don't think HC has an answer for Cooper.

Top 5 players to ever come out of Bracken/Augusta..
I don't remember Larry Wood playing from the 50's, but Pete Hause and John Rice were pretty good players for Bracken. I know that Hause and Rice both held the scoring record at BC at one time. Hause would probably still have it if there had been a 3 point shot. The Kelsch Boys and Ike Reynolds were also very good. I believe they lost the district finals in 1965 to a very good Pendleton Co. team who had the Wright(Jackie and Pete) boys playing for them. PC who went on to win the Reginals.

Congrats to the Cats. I heard that HuriKane had a good game. What about some of the other players? Do you have any stats?

Pendleton @ Nicholas Predictions
Bulletin board material or not, just stating facts. Simms will not overlook the opponent, but sometimes players will. PC is a team with one starter back and very little varsity experience, and I think if they don't win very impressively they are in for a very long season, IMO. I think most PC fans will feel the exact same way I do.

Best Bench in the State
I have to agree with you on this one GS.

Best Bench in the State
:thumb: I don't know of any teams that can replace a Miller off of their bench. Not many can replace him with one of their starters.

If this game is remotely close PC is in for a very long season. This game should be a big night for the HuriKane. Go PC Wildcats

Jeremy will have to be the head on the team. He is a senior it is time for him to shine. If he shines it will make the rest of the team shine.

You are right only time will tell, and I think the 10th Region Tournament will be another good one this season.

I know you may not know as much about the 10th, but we here also add Bishop Brossart into the equation of the battle. Did Franklin Co. lose much from their team last season. Our Pendleton Co. team played them last season and they where a pretty tough opponent.

Holmes 73 Pendleton County 42
He did play. Had to sit some in the first half with 2 fouls. The PC guards had a very hard time with Holmes swarming press. They just had us out manned.

Good win for your Cards and the 10th. Good to see Knowles had a good game. He is a player, and still my early pick for 10th Region POY.

Holmes 73 Pendleton County 42
He earned every point he got. Doubled and tripled team all night. He got most of his points when Holmes did not get a double team on him. Rice guarded him most of the night. When Kane was guarded 1 on 1 he either got his shot or got fouled. Kane looked pretty good when PC could get the ball to him which was not to often.

Rice did dominated from inside out to about 8-10 from the basket at will. He had 1 dunk on a run out. There was 2 dunks in the game and Henderson had the other. Holmes is a good team not a great team. They are a very fast athletic team at all positions on the floor and off the bench. They will run with anyone IMO. I liked the way they played as a team in that they where not selfish with the ball. They are cat quick on the full court press. They have some leapers and their press will be very hard to throw over. A good half court team will give them fits another opinion. I am not familiar with the teams in the 9th, but I believe Mason Co., GRC, and Bishop Brossart from the 10th would give them all they wanted. I was not impressed with Hill at last nights game, but I will reserve any comment because that is just one game. Rice is the man I was impressed with. I have a couple of things to say about PC. To many turnovers and could not hit the outside shot. Not hitting the outside shot allowed Holmes to double and triple team Belcher all night. All the points that Kane got we created by himself one on one. PC has got to hit some outside shots to free up things for Kane or it is going to be a long season. Someone said PC is descent. I don't know if that was being kind or they wanted to make Holmes look better. Bottom line Holmes beat a very young PC team, and the win was impressive as it should have been. I have no doubt Coach Simms will have this PC team ready to play by districts. They are going to get some knots on their heads, but that is part of the learning process. Go PC Wildcats

Ashland/Pendleton Co. Scrimmage Saturday 11/25
Typical Biggs team. Buddy will have his team ready by tournament time. He is a great Coach and if the players play into his system they will be a winner. Good luck to Coach Biggs and his new team. We will miss him here at PC, but will never forget him. Sounds like a descent showing for the PC Wildcats. Coach Simms has bigg shoes to fill, but I have no doubt he can do it.
