Small single A school thing is getting old. That is just an excuse which you use when it benefits you. They also lost 11 games 6 in a row. I know they played some though games during that 6 game loss, but Newport and NCC back to back is not playing to expectations. At least not to what all the BB faithful was saying at the beginning of the season. I think this game goes to the wire and I am picking BB to win over the Royals. IMO, they are on a roll, but it will run out Saturday night against PC or GRC. Good luck to both Teams.

I am going with GRC on this game by double digits. SH has no one who can stop Knowles. I think this kids middle name is Lighting. GRC is also to deep for them. If Scott only gets good playing time from Howard it will be a long night for them. Sharp and Whitehead will need to show up for SH to have any chance at all. In my opinion it still would only be a slim chance. Good luck to both teams.

My first round picks. JMO GRC wins over Scott: SH has no one on their team who can come anywhere close to defending Knowles. Plus GRC is to deep for them. Pendleton wins over Augusta: PC just to big and fast for the Panthers. I believe JV gets a lot of playing time in this one. Montgomery wins over Bishop Brossart: This one is a tough game to pick. Big Patrick"The Beast" has to be the front runner. Knowles and Miller come in next. I think the big battle will be next season between Knowles and Miller. Both will be preseason favorites and be on preseason favorite teams to win the Regional. I can't wait to see this match up.

I think Miller is going to be a very special player by his Senior year. Not that he already isn't. IMO, if he keeps on improving as he has since the 8th grade Mason Co. might just have another Mr. Basketball in 2008. I really enjoy watching this kid play. I really think he is definitely Major D-1 material. Jim Schue is right about him deferring to Turner to much. Next season will be a different story the team will be his.

Under what size?

I was also impressed with Cunningham. I saw a lot of improvement from him since the last game they played against PC.

You base all this on 1 game. :confused: Mains was more of factor than you know. Putting points on the board is not what it is all about. He still runs the show. I don't think Elliott needs to impress you. He has impressed a lot of Coaches this season in the 10th and out including your own Coach Kendall. Elliott's average this season 16.9 pts,56.4%FG, 9.26 rebounds, free throws 76.2%, 3.4 apg. This coming from a player on a team who has 3 other players in double figure scoring. He does not get the chance to score as much as Miller or Knowles who are the primary offence for their teams. I believe that Miller and Knowles are better athletes than Elliot, but not the complete player that Pat is,IMO Your are right on one thing Davis was the MVP in that game and could very well be for the tournament. He would get my vote.

Thats why I want GRC to win. Don't want to play them in the first game. I think you know what I mean. :scared: Good Luck to GRC.

"He really can't create any offense for himself." How many games have you seen him play? If you think this you need to watch Elrod play more. Jon creates a lot of his offence. Probably has the best short range jump shot on the team. He fakes the 3 goes around his man and hits the deuce. He has done this numerous times in numerous games this season. To say he can't create is not having knowledge of how Elrod plays.

It would be hard to leave out Mains. I guess I may be a little bias, but I think PC could have 3 players from the 10th in the top ten. You may not have been impressed with Elrod who was in foul trouble, but the people who have seen him play more the 1 game will tell you different. Ask all the Coaches in the 10th to see what they say about Elrod.

And I believe if you ask Miller and Turner they both will tell you the same thing. :sssh: Pat"the Beast" Elliott. Not only can he shoot, pass, and play defense he is on the floor after every lose ball. He is Mr. Hustle and a team leader.

The Kyle Howard you are talking about got his 1000 pt. against Pendleton Co.

and it still might be a tight game.

I would not rule out GRC, Bishop Brossart, Montgomery Co., Campbell Co., or Bourbon all have a chance to beat PC. Nothing is a give me during tournament time. PC has a target on their back and they all want to knock it off. Go PC Wildcats. Get-R-Done :flame:

Congrats to Tyler. He is a fine young man and Greenville is getting a good one. Tyler has been a pleasure to watch over the years. Us PC fans are going to miss him. Good luck Tyler. You have a special place in this fans heart. I am going to miss your Dad yelling at you from the stands.
