10th Region Tourney Host
I don't think this was proved. Games during the middle of the week vs the games being on the weekend is not a true comparison. Play the final game on Saturday night and many would have been turned away. I can not see how people can not see this. The crowds at Mason exceeded the capacity of Montgomery Co. gym. This just shows that having the tournament at Mont. caused the overall attendance to be down. Proof is in the pudding. For the record I do not care who holds the tournament. If I really wanted to attend I would be there no matter what the driving distance is.

Looks like a rebuilding year to me.

Mason Co. vs. Clark Co. Predictions (10th Region Semifinals)
Doubtful. With the games not being played on the weekend I don't think their will be any of the games where people are turned away. IMO, The tournament being moved will not get a true evaluation this season because of all the delayed games and having to reschedule. So now no one can prove or disprove if Montgomery could handle the tournament.

Montgomery Co. 71 Pendleton Co. 42 (10th Region 1st Round)
Congrats to MC. Farewell to the PC Seniors and best of luck. You will have the memories of winning the 2008 Districts the rest of your lives. You guys turned on at the end of the season and made all us PC fans proud. I think Coach Simms has done an excellent job and I look forward to him bringing PC back to the winning column. Winning the districts was a good start after the season lows they have had. Good luck Coach Simms in your future at PC. One more note. Some on here keep saying get to the Regional game early and get a seat. My question is what if everybody gets there early.:sssh:

Pendleton Co 63 Deming 59
I have to agree with you PR. Mitchell lit up PC, but he will not get a chance to do it against MC. All the 3's he hit against PC he never had a hand in his face. Once the PC players decided to defend him the 3 was gone.

Pendleton County 70 Harrison County 68
JV players moving up to Varsity our the ones I am referring too. Not the seniors moving down they can't do that.
-
Pendleton County 70 Harrison County 68
I think he might be referring to the Seniors playing with the JV players that they had never played with before. None of the players that left the team came back.

Congrats to the Wildcats and Coach Simms. I am one who believes Coach Simms will get the Wildcats back on track. This is only his 2nd season as the Head Coach at PC and some think he should be winning like the 05 and 06 teams did. Those years spoiled some of the PC fans. Give him time and they will be back to winning seasons again. Maybe not like the teams of 05 and 06, but those are teams that are far and few between at PC. Districts starts a new season for all the teams in the State and PC is now 1-0 and headed to the Regionals. I am very proud of this team and especially proud of Coach Simms who I know has taken a lot of criticism this season. Keep your head up Coach I believe better days are coming. GO PC WILDCAT GET R DONE

38th District Draw???
If I am not mistaken the host school revolves to one of the four every year and they make the decision were to play each year. Harrison does have the largest gym of the four.

Bud Mackey on the move
I think this will be good for Mackey. Hopefully he has learned his lesson and gets on the right track. He needs to keep his nose clean and not hang out with the wrong crowed. I do hope Cronin gives him a look as you have mentioned before. One mistake in a young mans life does not mean he should not get another chance.

What team is a Darkhorse to win your Region?
My Dark Horse to win Runner up in the 10th would probably be Montgomery Co. or Campbell Co. That is if they don't get on the same side of the braket with Mason Co.

St Pat @ Pendleton Co..Saturday Predictions
I could only hope it will be this close. With the young players Coach Simms has left it is going to be rough row to hole the rest of the season. Hopefully he will have them ready by Districts.

St Pat @ Pendleton Co..Saturday Predictions
Richard Harden, Derek Myers, Michael Walsh, Dillon Green. The first two are Seniors. Green is a Soph and I believe Walsh is Freshman. They have several underclassmen that I think have potential.

Deming 79 Augusta 37
Basketball is a funny game. Didn't this same Augusta team put a thumping on Pendleton Co. that just beat Deming? Augusta will be just fine. Everybody has bad games and this just happened to be Augusta's night. Sometimes when you get down earlier you just keep digging the hole deeper trying to get out. We all have been there.

A lot of PC players seen action in this game. Pretty consistant with 8-9 players deep. This team is small, but very scrappy. They seem to have some good speed up and down the floor. Even though they are a small team some of the players do have some hops. I think any of the first 6-7 players could be a leading scorer on any given night for this team. The game was some what sloppy with PC having way to many unforced turnovers. There was a lot of traveling called in this game and IMO were good calls by the refs. I think once the season plays out Coach Simms will still be playing 8-9 players, but some will not get as much time on the floor as in last nights game. He ran a lot of players in and out pretty regularly. IMO, He is still looking for his starting five. At this point in the season I don't think he looses a lot of talent on the floor 1 thru 9, but the season is early. To sum it up I like the looks of this team, and I think they will surprise a lot of fans and teams this season. With the 10th being down I can see this team being up in the top five by seasons end excluding the number 1 spot. Good Win. Go Pendleton County Wildcats!!!
