  1. :thumb: Although I do agree the ball was still in his hands at the buzzer. We do have the advantage of seeing it on the video and the ref doesn't. I think it was close enough that it would be hard for the ref to call no shot. Congrats to the young man who pulled it off.
  2. Rose Hill-KHSAA Daily Independent reporting on its website that Rose Hill is banned from postseason play, fined $6000, and 3 years probation. Could this be why these players where ruled eligible after their appeal?
  3. I as a Christian think you have the wrong idea, just because you break a rule does not mean it is a sin and it has nothing at all to do with the Church. I just came in from driving my car thru a 45mph speed zone. I set my cruise on 50 all the way thru it. That is a broken rule not a sin. I am not going to miss out on Heaven for driving 5mph over the speed limit. If I get a ticket for parking illegal I am still going to Heaven. I don't mean to turn this into a Religious thread, but IMO your way off base with the Christian and Church thing. I hope we all try to teach our kids not to break the rules, but there is a big gap between speeding and lying. Also if they have appealed and the KHSAA says they are eligible they have not broken any rules by playing. There are none of us on here that know the exact reason why the KHSAA declared these young men eligible. I am happy that they get to play and I have no dog in this fight.
  4. The answer I was told is because they did not move their resident.
  5. Corey was ruled ineligible yesterday. I received this info direct from his mother this morning.
  6. In all fairness to Dillon he has seen some pretty rough times in his years with the PC teams. He has not had a lot of help and almost every year players have dropped out during the season that only made things worse. Dillon will give a 110%, I just wish they had a big man to take some of the pressure off him. You are absolutely right that Simms needs for his kids to toughen up, but that is another story.
  7. Glad to hear Dillon had a good summer. Timmy is a shooter. My concerns are do they have any big men down inside? The last big man PC had was Kane Belcher and they have not had one since. When your tallest people are just barely over 6ft(and that is pushing it) it is hard to contend.
  8. The Florence Twins who where starters. I know there was a kid from the Jr. class, also. I think there was another, but not sure on that.
  9. Mason Monroe will be the head for the team, but I am not sure they have much body. I kind of lost track last year when players started quiting the team. Can anyone tell me what they have coming back this year. Are there any big players that can help. I just think Mason is going to have his hands full if there is not any more there than PC had last year.
  10. I would think very much so.:thumb:
  11. CC was just to big for the Cats. I think this CC team is going to win a lot of games this season. They seem to play very well as a team and I think Coach Code has them ready to play. They can get scoring from a lot of positions. They just may be the #2 team in the 10th behind GRC. Good luck to the Camels. The cats started out strong 24 points first quarter, but the CC size slowed them down. I think the young Cats did what was expected of them against the veteran Camels. Coach Simms will get them ready as season progresses. This team is small, but they are scrappy. Next test is Augusta, Friday and the Cats need to win this one because GRC is in town on Saturday. GO PC Wildcats
  12. Since this thread has gotten a lot of response. How many out there would not give their child the same opportunity the Eutons and the Jackson are trying to give to their children. I am going out on a limb say 100% would do the same thing the Eutons and Jacksons are doing if you are a parent of a gifted child. As a parent I have always wanted to give my children the best. I may be wrong about this, but I am going on record to say that any caring parent would do what is best for their child if they have the chance. I would like to wish both of these young men the best of luck. If they are transferring because of sports that does not bother me as long as there family is moving with them. Now if I was to find out SC had recruited these kids I would think differently.
  13. :thumb: I agree wholeheartedly. You would not be much of a parent if you didn't.
  14. I don't think under BCG system that a walk on player is necessary going to set the bench for four years. Example Mark Coury. IMO, Henderson is a better player then Porter and he has gotten a lot of playing time. I know maybe under different circumstances these two player would not play, but the fact is they do. I can see Henderson as a very good role player, and getting playing time down the road. From what I have seen and heard Henderson is a hard worker and a good kid. I for one hopes he becomes a Wildcat. If he is a true blue fan I can see him taking a walk on over some other school. I wish Arrez the best in what ever he decides to do.
  15. Congrats to the Royals 2008 State Champs. You represented the 10th well. Darius Miller 24 points 2008 Mr. Basketball IMO, In the bag.
  16. :thumb: As they should do!
  17. Great post and I agree 100%.
  18. :thumb:As would any caring parent.
  19. Evidently you are closer to the situation then I am, so I will withdraw my views on the Jackson situation until later date. I just don't agree that a player should be able to move just for athletic reasons and that is all I had to base the Jackson situation on. I have been reading all the threads on this Euton thing and this is the first I have read about the Jackson's needing to move unless I missed something somewhere. I only share my views on what I know. Thank you very sincerely for enlighten me.
  20. Is Jackson's parents looking for a job? If he is moving for basketball gain only I don't agree with it. Do you think KHSAA is going to look at it as being the same situation as Euton.
  21. Why should Euton set out a year if Jackson transfers. If Euton is there legally what does that have to do with Jackson. I have made my views known in other post in this thread about Euton. Now if Jackson was to follow my view would not be the same about Jackson.
  22. People, People, People!! What is it that a lot of you don't comprehend? The father lost his job and he needed to find a new one. If he needed to fined a job anyway why not look for the best situation for his son to play basketball. I can understand that he is giving his son the best opportunity that is available to improve him. I think some of this is just hate for Scott Co. There is not anyone on here if they had the same situation that would not do the same thing for their child and if they wouldn't your not much of a parent. I see a whole lot of sour grapes. People, People, People grow up and quit acting like a bunch kids. Worry about your on affairs and leave the Euton's alone. Good luck to the Euton family!
