hchs Posted February 10, 2008 Posted February 10, 2008 I believe the 38th district draw was supposed to be held yesterday. If I'm wrong please correct me or give details if it did happen. Thanks!! 38th District meeting and draw will be held at Harrison County High School on Monday, Feb. 11 at 1 p.m. Both the boys and girls will "draw" as the district is not seeded. Teams include tournament host Harrison County, Deming, Nicholas County and Pendleton County.
SugarDaddy Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 Hope someone posts the results soon after the DRAW. Best wishes to the teams!

SugarDaddy Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 :devil:Looks like Deming got a good draw. Good Luck boys!
StepYoGameUp Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 any ideas on how these games will go Harrison over Pendleton and Deming over Nicholas! Deming and Harrison should make a nice championship game!
HOOPDR Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 Don't count the Cats out just yet. I know Harrison won in the previous game played earlier at Harrison. The Cats played that game without their two best players in Hardin and Moeves. They could be the difference come district time. On another note how many more years does Harrison get to hold the district tournament?

If I am not mistaken the host school revolves to one of the four every year and they make the decision were to play each year. Harrison does have the largest gym of the four.
Billy Clyde Posted February 13, 2008 Posted February 13, 2008 When the district was realigned the only school that got the chance at the rotation was Harrison. They got it for 5 years. So they have it this year and then the next two. When they had the meeting three years ago Nicholas turned down their chance to host. Deming wanted to but was voted down by Nicholas and Pendleton (maybe Harrison also). Pendleton was voted down by everyone. So that is why Harrison Co. gets to host for 5 years.
witness23 Posted February 13, 2008 Posted February 13, 2008 I see two upsets coming, Pendleton over Harrison, and Nicholas over Deming. Pendleton in the earlier match up was missing two staters that I belive will have a big impact on the game, I also belive Coach Simms will have these boys ready to play. In the Deming vs. Nicholas game I see a great player in Kyle Campbell taking over this one for his team over the two twins.
