FortysMom
All I can say is TURNOVERS, TURNOVERS AND MORE TURNOVERS. If they would not have so many turnovers they would be fine....

Lack of varsity experience normally translates into turnovers when kids are thrust onto the big stage the following year. Maybe they should have played some of these kids the last couple of years, instead of worrying about winning by 30-40 points every game?? Good win for Newport--Congrats!! FortysMom
Yea, you are right, that is why I like coach Simms, he plays around 8 to 9 players. So you are absouletly right, because the team has talent.

I don't think that they continually ran the score up as you might indicate. The strength of schedule did not permit this. Last years stats would probably indicate a winning point margin of 10 or less, however, the year before might have been a little wider. Coach Biggs did not leave the starters in just to pad the score or stats. He played what he felt was the best players for the situation at hand. I was at those 30-40 point win games and Biggs did play the JV a lot last season. How many of them did you see? I never seen anyone as down on PC the last 2 seasons as you are. I know that it is hard for you to handle that PC took out the Stangs with the good teams they had. We only get this type of team every 25 or 30 years let us enjoy it. Life is to short to be so negative. Give the Cats some slack, and good luck to the Mustangs. I for one think they have the horses to go to the State. shootdathree
41 of the 53 points scored by 2 players, Belcher with 24 and Crozier with 17. No one else has really stepped up yet. How did Mudd play last night?
Old Soda
Once again, and for about the fifteenth time, Biggs would play his starters until the other coach would take his out. Evidently you didn't see enough of Pendleton's games to realize that.
Can'tcoach
Until one or two of the guards step up and hit some shots from outside you will see games like last night.Exactly three points were scored by guards the entire game. Mudd had a good floor game but we had the wrong people handdling the ball on some fast breaks which resulted in turnovers due to bad passing. This team can and will improve during the season but will not compete for a regional title. Hopefully they will repeat as district champs.
