I picked Ryle before the districts and Im sticking with them. I'll say they beat Dixie in a close one.

I like Ryle in a close one. I think Stauffer is the best big man defender in the area. I think if Tate Mullins plays well this team has a shot at winning the entire thing. Ryle defends very well and has size. With some good gaurd play...they could be playing on Sunday.

Just to clarify...Teams are not given a chance to hold practice or shoot arounds at Kentucky Bank Arena. In my opinion this is a bad move by the host. These kids have worked all season to get where they are and to not have a chance to practice or shoot around before these big games is a big disadvantage to the kids. The Arena seating is someting new for most of these kids. It can be a very tough adjustment to shoot in this atmosphere. Kids deserve a chance to shoot around and get used to this before walking on to floor for the biggest game of there career.

You have no clue at all LawnBoy. Cheatum is probably the most under rated player in this area. The kid is very good and works his butt off. Not to mention he's a great kid. Congrats to the Crusaders. Its been a long rough season....so glad to see these boys smile and celebrate a darn good win. Congrats to Coach Faust and a great group of young men I've got to know over the year.

Crusaders are on the otherside of the table in this one. Usually its the Juggs trying to pull off the upset....tonight I would think the Juggs are heading in as the favorite. Also heard a rumor today that Cheatum is getting some good looks from small D-1 schools. I've been say this all season, this kid is much improved and would be a star on any team in this area. He's come a long way and his game is very raw. With that said the Crusaders know what they have to do. Win and play in the regional. The regular season match up went to the Juggs by 9. Im taking my Crusaders in a close one. Good luck boys!

I just watched the video from the Montgomery Co game...and no offense to either CCH or Montomery Co people...but this wasn't even one of the better games I've seen them do. Wait till you see them vs Highlands or NCC or someone that tries to out do them.

I believe Trinity must play Ballard in the first round of the Districts due to Seneca winning the district. One of these teams will be left out and thats a shame. Both of them are top notch teams in the state

Ugly game by both teams. Lots of turnovers. 33 for the St Henry and 22 for Holy Cross if I saw correctly. St Henry trailed by 9 or 10 at the half but then cut it to 6 or so with 5mins left.

Crazy to see a game where both Hatton nor McQuery had any threes. Both these boys can really light it up from the outside.

Good for O' Hara and Pouncy but just curious why the 9th Region has 2? I was always under the impression each region had 1 official represent?

Good news b/c St Henry JV was needing a good win the other night. Missing the top 3 players on JV, 4 Freshman had to step up and they did. This just proves how good of a win it was. Congrats to the Camels and good luck.

I read the email. I wouldn't even call it an email....Id call it a book. I couldn't believe how much was written. So much non-sense and excessive use of words. Lots of time and thought must have went into this. Its really was kind of depressing to think a person/parents putting a kid and a program through this. I feel embarrassed for everyone involved. Really I found it quite laughable and couldn't believe anyone would have the guts to send something like this to the administration. Then the funniest part about all of this is just yesterday the thread was started "Toughest Fans To Please" ding ding ding......we have a winner!!!!!

1. CovCath - Constantly there is a group of parents never happy. Playing time, coaching, style of play, etc etc. 2. Boone - They don't realize how good they have it. One of the best coaches in our area and doesn't get enough respect. 3. Ryle - Not so much now but in the past they have been tough to deal with for coaches.

Good win for the Crusaders last night on Senior Night. Barnett got the start and from the begining showed he didn't want to come out. Burrying almost every shot he took and going for 9-11 from the free throw line and putting up a game high 22pts. FROM NKY.COM St. Henry 59, Newport 49: The Crusaders outscored the Wildcats 27-11 in the fourth quarter. St. Henry started the game on an 11-6 run, but Newport stormed back in the second and third quarters outscoring the Crusaders 32-21. St. Henry (4-13) was led by senior guard Zach Barnett's 22 points. Barnett went 9-for-11 from the foul line and his team went 24-for-30. St. Henry has now won three of its last four games after losing 12 of 13 to start the season.

Too bad he didn't follow his older brothers....St Henry might have been the favorite to win this.

St Henry led CovCath at the half 2wks ago 16-10. Then they went on an offensive drought and scored 1pt in the 2nd half to lose 27-17 or something around there. They know they can hang with CCH and I think the CRU will make this a game.

Highlands 36 St Henry 39.....Great win for the CRU. This team is playing very well.

St Henry already has won regular season meeting...but it was early on. And won it I believe without Rechtin.

This season has been so crazy...nothing would suprise me. Heck what if Conner got it together and shows everyone why they were preseason #1? What if we have a late season injury to a contender? What if NCC wins the ALL A STATE and then goes on a run like they did in 2000 and St Henry did in 2003 after winning ALL A State? I've seen everyone one of these teams and Id have to say the best 3 are Holmes, Dixie, and NCC. If the winner doesn't come from those 3 then I'd be really surprised.

Still confused on why NCC was seeded a #1 seed in the lower bracket? I would agree St. Henry, Highlands, and CCH are the top 3 teams. Probably would say NCC is in that group also.

I think I have this wrong. The 03' regional championship team didn't lost to CCH at home. It was the 2001/2002 team I believe. Lewin/Finke/Bain beat Eisenmenger/Voelker in 2002. Sorry about that.

Doesn't look good. Might be in uniform for the first time since the 1st game injury but I really don't see him playing much of a role in this one. Still rehabbing his butt off!
