2009 Lynn Camp
It is friday the 14th @ LC. A three way scrimmage with Lynn Camp, Jackson County and Knox Central. The following week they are at KC in the Pioneer Bowl vs. Clay Co., the 28th LC has Whitley @ LC and then LC goes to Lex. Christ. on the 5th of Sep. Heck of a starting schedule for the Cats.....

2009 Williamsburg
I would give the nod to Williamsburg to be the team to beat in the district right now for 2009. I would say, when all is said and done, that Williamsburg and Campbellsville could be at home for at least one game each in the playoffs again and we (at LC) will travel the first round once more. Campbellsville and LC could switch spots, but both have a lot of unanswered, as of right now, questions. I think that Berea will take the 4 spot.

2009 Lynn Camp
After what I have seen the last couple of weeks of being around this team, I think upperclassmen leadership is going to be an issue. JMO. Nothing major, just little things that are not pointing towards success. Some finger pointing, but little self reflection. The challenge is there for the seniors to make it happen. Looking an awful lot like the product we had in the 2006 campaign right now. Numbers are great, depth is good, but something does not seem/feel right. 3-7 is looking very real unless something drastically changes at football camp this week. Unity is the key to the season now. Its here and there is precious little time to change things. The very near future will tell the tale.......

2009 Knox Central
Merida will be something else to see. I have to agree with the above post. He was in a solid mix and was not totally able to show all he could do last year. Look for him to shine this season. The kid can play some football.

2009 Lynn Camp
This should be year #32. I can see him coaching quite a while longer. He'll do it as long as he enjoys it. I'm sure it grinds on him sometimes, but he seems to rejuvenate once it all comes into full swing again. You are right, WCFS, LC and Dave have become synonymous.

Cov. Cath. player seriously injured in 7 on 7
Get well soon. Sounds like it could have been a whole lot worse for this young man.

2009 Lynn Camp
Numbers are in GREAT range for the Camp and summer practice. I counted at least 35 kids a couple of times this week.

Season is getting closer now.....

2009 Lynn Camp
I think that if leadership develops, Lynn Camp can go something like 7-3. If leadership lags and intensity follows it, could be a 4-6 (or worse) season.

2009 Dayton
They had a girl on the team last year. Is she still playing?

2009 Pioneer Bowl Press Conference
Not that I know of at this time, MN.

2009 Williamsburg
I'll agree with both of the statements, wideopen. Moses is a great QB. Where is he looking at going after HS? Size and speed seem to hurt all of the SE KY Class A teams as the playoffs go on. Not every year, but most.

Has a player from a class A school ever won Mr. Football in Ky?
I would think that 1A and 2A have the fewest representatives. Good call on Scott Russell, Mama Bear. I must be getting old, because I could not remember his first name.... How are the Bears looking right now?

South Laurel Job?
Is that the same Brown that left as DC for Lynn Camp for South? I think he was an Army Reservist. He was here for a couple of years before going to London.

AAU+Handlers= Trouble
A term like "handler" always sends up a warning flag of sorts, IMO...

KY BOE Passes School-Immunity Bylaw on KHSAA
The rules have always been somewhat porous, anyway.....

Estill County open again???
I hate to hear this. Hope you get well soon, John!

South Laurel Job?
Could have already been promised, AFAWK........

South Laurel Job?
This just proves that football is definitely the second fiddle at the school.

- 30th Annual Lynn Camp Weight Competition
I still think HCHS is on the verge of something special. Mama Bear, is HCMS on LC's scedule for this season?- Meeting Fellow BGPers
I'm better off buying it, 3w. I never win at anything....- 30th Annual Lynn Camp Weight Competition
Thanks, 3wishes. Dave had all the information today and I never got a chance to see it to post it. Note to all: From what I witnessed yesterday, Harlan County will be a very strong team, physically. Even the middle schoolers had a great showing. I think that Tucker Lewis is a middle schooler. Maybe Mama Bear could fill us in on the younger guys with HCMS? I think that HCHS will end up being something very special and very scary, JMO.- 30th Annual Lynn Camp Weight Competition
Thanks to all who participated, coached, judged, spectated or helped out in any way at all. Thanks, especially, to all the kids. You every one represented your schools well. Not one issue, not one problem or not one cross word came out of these participants lips yesterday. To those parents that are raising these young men, congratulations on a job well done and keep up the good work. You should be proud of these guys and how they handle themselves. :thumb: Whitley County Won Harlan County was 2nd Bell Co. 3rd North Laurel 4th Leslie County 5th Lynn Camp/Knox Central tied for 6th Pineville Muhlenburg North Hopefully we'll see Y'all next year for #31!!!!!! - 30th Annual Lynn Camp Weight Competition
