pigman Posted May 18, 2009 Posted May 18, 2009 To lazy to look it up does anyone know. In your opinion does it put players at smaller schools at a disadvantage?
Dlbdonn Posted May 18, 2009 Posted May 18, 2009 Was NCC a 1a or 2a in '86 ? Frank Jacobs the first one went there .
Son of Bear Posted May 18, 2009 Posted May 18, 2009 Dennis Johnson - Harrodsburg Travis Atwell - Hancock County

kyvince Posted May 18, 2009 Posted May 18, 2009 Was NCC a 1a or 2a in '86 ? Frank Jacobs the first one went there . NCC was 2a. They dropped from 3a - 2a in 1984, when they won the 1st state title, followed by 2 runner-up finishes in 1985 and 1986.
Hatz Posted May 18, 2009 Posted May 18, 2009 Thanks Fellas. I thought Hancock County was 2A that year. They were 1A in 1999 and State Runner-up to Beechwood. :thumb: http://www.khsaa.org/football/1999/class1a99full.htm
sidelinedoc Posted May 18, 2009 Posted May 18, 2009 He didn't win it but Brandon Berger (Beechwood) was a finalist.
quickslick Posted May 18, 2009 Posted May 18, 2009 Greg Hergott (Beechwood) was a finalist in 1994, the year Shaun Alexander won it.
football junky Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 Nothing wrong with finishing runner-up to that guy!(Alexander) Hergott,Burger and Jacobs were three of the best to ever lace them up in Northern Kentucky and also great people too! The list of great football players from northern Kentucky would be very long and this area has been blessed with great talent throughout the years in all classes!
THUNDERBIRDS Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 I don't believe Mr. Football was being awarded yet, but back in the late 70's early 80's a little old school in Bellevue had a pretty good runningback that would of won it that year hands down. Anybody............?
00Rocket28 Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 Travis Hancock was a freak of an athlete! Best I ever played against!
THUNDERBIRDS Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 Jared Lorenzen 1998 Mr. Football 3A. I guess it's for another discussion.
