Sounds like a great reason FOR classed basketball!!

So you support classed sports in everything but basketball?? Your reasoning??

This and the large number of larger school regional champs and runner-ups, especially in the competitive regions; certainly helps make the case for a classed system. I certainly don't think we need 6 like football, or maybe not even 4; but two (small school and large school) like several other sports might be a worthy experiment??

So Beechwood, Highlands, CovCath and NCC's football championships aren't for real, due to the classed tourney??

And maybe a city school champ, and a country school champ, and a suburban champ, and a champ for teams with a left handed PG, and a under 6'4" center champ, etc. Give 'em all a trophy!! Someone was wronged in a former life by a private school??

Wow--Just got onto this thread and the Camel faithful seem to be out in force against poor Mustang, as he just related a rather common rumor from the 10th region tourney?? Maybe a few of them ought to have visited down Maysville way, and they might not have been so hard on him?? Coach Reitz seems like a great guy and hopefully will stay with the Camels; especially since they stand to reverse their recent losing ways next year, and I've heard may be even upgrading their modest schedule a little next year??

Not sure Phillip skipped any math classes, no matter where he graduated from? 90% winning ratio is actually 90 out of 100 games= 9-1 (9 out of 10), while 75% winning ratio is 75 out of 100= 7.5-1 (7,5 out of 10) as he stated. Any way you slice it, its an advantage to play at home!!

I had an interesting conversation this weekend regarding this topic, and the prevailing opinion was that its a sizable advantage to the home teams for a variety of reasons. Someone pointed out however, that for the most part few regional games are played at a participating team's home court in Ohio?? Not sure if this is accurate, but would be an interesting comparison if true? It does seem the Cincy teams are always heading to Dayton or Columbus to play regional games?? Thoughts??

Looks like a tossup to me, and its awfully hard to beat a good team four times in one year!! But then, I thought it was near impossible for Mason to beat Brossart three times in one year?? Good luck to both teams, and who ever wins, represent NKY well downstate!!

Saturday at 12:00 noon and 3:00--What did you expect?? We need evening basketball like it's supposed to be!!

I'm guessing they'll play good defense and be competitive!! Talent runs in spurts at all small schools, and while they probably won't be up to this year's standards; they'll hold their own against a tough schedule.

I am not trying to be biased by honestly. NO ONE CAN SAY THAT THERE WAS A MASON COUNTY HOME COURT ADVANTAGE. The 3 refs in this game today should have there licenses revoked. Weren't many of you singing a different tune yesterday, when the officiating was being questioned in the BB-MC game?? Funny how the tune changes when your team gets the short end of the stick?? I've got no idea how the officials were in this game, but if Mason didn't get the calls today as you're claiming; then welcome to what the rest of us have endured for years!! Hurt's doesn't it!!

No I meant condemn! He said the following: Seems most N. KY schools have trouble knowing where they should be sitting. Every game I go to that involves a school from Boone, Kenton, or Campbell the fans will sit on the wrong side I don't think its fair to slam all Nothern KY high schools, as not understanding protocol and causing trouble at games, because of one incident, that's all??

Also wanted to say I'm glad "I wasted my gas" and drove down today for this game, despite many's predictions that the Mustangs didn't belong in this game!! Congratulations to the Royals for their efforts and good luck tomorrow!! To the Brossart Seniors--Thanks for leaving it all on the court today and never giving up!! Brossart had two players on the All Region team, while Augusta had four, so I don't know?? I do agree they are all quality players, at least in my opinion!!
