Can't stand seeing someone else playing "Mac-Ball"!! Not saying they are trying, but his kids are known to "take one for the team on occasion".

Rate the top coaches in your region
Agreed LBM with your premise, but conversely you could put Billy D, Billy G, Ricky P, etc. at Calvary, SG, St. Pats, etc. and w/o serious r-word they'd be hard pressed to ever win the region. That's why I see guys like Mike Code @ Brossart (still a very small school) or Brad Carr @ Scott (decent sized, but not a traditional power) in the 10th; or a Dave Faust @ St. Henry in the 9th as doing great jobs year in, year out. These schools consistantly compete, despite the lack of a huge new talent influx every year like the CovCath's, Mason's, Clark's, Holmes's, Any Boone County school, etc.!! PS: After being at Montgomery County for the baseball tourney, please explain HOW you don't contend for the regional title at that school EVERY year, in EVERYTHING??

Bishop Brossart 9 St Patrick 2
Kyle Kramer, their catcher who played LF today, also pitched two scoreless innings in relief--KK the Closer!!

What's going on with Campbell County High School
I've no idea what you're discussing when you mention a "freshman player", and am not certain if you're referencing me when you say "the Brossart athletic leader"; but since I was the one who mentioned "underachieving", I'll at least clarify my position. If you'll READ my posts you'll see I pointed to CC's baseball program as being a bright spot athletically for the Camels of late, and agreed with Old Soda, as did a couple other BB fans, regarding the success of that program of late. My reference was in response to the thread topic (which I thought was the object of these boards) and meant as a general comment on "what's going on with CCHS". Do I feel that on the whole their athletics "underachieve"--Absolutely!! I think you'll find many of your own supporters who agree wholeheartedly!! Why--You're probably in a better position to comment on that topic than me; so I'll allow you and others to do so if you'd care. Do I care? Not really, as it often benefits some programs I support; but I do feel for some of the kids I know which are involved, and their disappointments. The facts are that Campbell is the largest school in the 10th region per the KHSAA numbers, and frequently has very good to dominent middle school and freshman/JV teams, which seldom translates to Varsity success?? Again Why--I've got my ideas, but I'll let Shadow & company tackle that one??

Can't agree with your assessment here BM. I'll go with Code & Humphrey in the 1-2 spots, but O'Hearn has had nothing but a wealth of talent since he's been there and Reitz, while good in his past stops, has "done less with more" while at Campbell (nice guy though)!!

What's going on with Campbell County High School
Why would "good" players chose not to come out for the team? They've been pretty good lately, have very nice facilities, and you only get one go-around in high school!! Makes no sense to me??

What's going on with Campbell County High School
I'd say CovCath, Holy Cross, and maybe Bourbon twice were their best wins!!

What's going on with Campbell County High School
For the record, they only played one (GRC) of those named and IMO only played three decent 10th region teams (GRC, Brossart and Scott); and went 0-4 against them!! While 18-13 is a decent record, their schedule wasn't the toughest, especially for the largest school in the region? Their problem in baseball seems to be the same as in many other sports--They don't seem to develop the boatloads of talent they have year in, year out. They consistantly have outstanding younger teams (middle school, frosh & JV) but they seldom develop into dominating Varsity squads?? Recently football may be an exception, but that program's been woeful until the last year or two. Not sure what the problems are, but with the resources, facilities and talent pools they've got to work with; you'd have to say they consistantly underachieve!! Back to the original question--NO he shouldn't be fired!! Baseball has been one of the better programs the last several years??

CCH's Josh Bleser commits....
Congrats to Josh and his family!! Hope to catch a few games in his career, and as a couple have said--Another old Raider moves on to the next level!!

College Golf--2007??
He took over last year, and led them to a 3rd place finish in the conference; and appears to have the team headed in the right direction!!
-
College Golf--2007??
I believe their home courses are Kenton County's "Willows" course and Summit Hills CC, the home of their tournament. I've also heard Holy Cross's Jake Bowman will be joining Bryan at TMC! Couple of good building blocks for 1st year coach Mark Barone's team. Best of luck to both as they move on in their careers!!

Brossart 13 Calvary Christian 1
Hardly a barnburner as the Mustangs go up 11-0 after one, before calling off the dogs the rest of the game, finishing up with a couple of JV pitchers. Congrats to Calvary for winning a district game yesterday, and to the 'Stangs for moving on to the championship game. Not sure if Uebel even gets the win as he only pitched two innings? As flawlessly as the Cougars apparently played yesterday, they were less than that today contributing several early errors to Brossart's cause in the deciding first inning. Several classy moves on Coach Rowe's part by subbing early and often, and purposely not trying to run up the score with some very conservative base running!! Good luck to the Mustangs tomorrow!!

Scott 9 Campbell County 8 (8 innings)
Sounds like an exciting game, with neither team ever giving up. Congrats to the Eagles on making it to the finals and on to regions. Got to be disappointing for the Camels after giving up two separate 3 run leads, including the 8th. Didn't get to see the game but giving up 13 walks (with his partner) and hitting a guy hardly sounds like "pitching good enough to win"?? Still a good season for the Camels!!

CCH Kurt Bovard to Thomas More
I think TMC's Coach Ellenwood will be (or should be) the beneficiary of any "broadening of the scope" that NKU may be contimplating!! If they (NKU) look to go the JUCO or D-1 transfer route to beef up their recruiting, especially if they are preparing to go the D-1 route when the new facility opens; look for TMC to work the locals (including the Cincy schools) much heavier, and I'd expect them to have some success!! They've got a lot to offer there with fine academics, a nice facility, good young coaching staff, etc.; and right now they've got another great selling point--Opportunity to Play!!
