Well obviously LexCath won't blitz even 8 wide recievers, I can't imagine any defensive coordinator that would be foolish enough cover 3 wide recievers with the talent that CovCath has man-on-man with no back up to stop the big play. If Revere is so good at covering the slant, CovCath will just run it against another DB. Who else on LexCaths defense beside Revere (what is his number by the way) that I should be watching tonight (their number also please)?

Yes but a blitz is just a gamble by the defense and an opportunity for a big play by the offense.

I would be thrilled for him to come here since I'm the last Cov Cath grad that was on the team! But to the game there'll be several of us from Centre attending the game. Good luck to both teams although I admit I am biased.

:thumb: We played Maryville College 2 weeks ago and I had to play against a defensive lineman who was 50 lbs heavier than me and by the look of his arms, stronger than me also, but I was able to out technique him, and consistently beat him every time. In highschool, a lot of the time you can out muscle other players, but in college at any level if you don't have good technique, it doesn't matter if you weigh 300 lbs and can bench 400+, you'll get beat 90% of the time just like JP said.

As a player you do have to learn to tune things out, but there's a certain point where the noise is so loud that you can't hear the calls over the noise. It's not a lack of concentration or focus, but a difference in decible (sp?) levels between the voice of a quarterback who is standing behind you (in the case of a no-huddle offense) and 30+ musical instruments being blown as loud as they can. Knowing the snap count is one of the advantages of an offense, they shouldn't be forced to watch the ball like the opposing defense has to. Maybe some rules are made by people who have never played, but I would bet that this isn't one of them and that none of the rules are made without careful consideration.

What time will it be at?

Simply put a highschool football team can not beat a college team. A college team will have had 4 more years of experiance, conditioning, preparation, strength training... You might as well ask if a pee wee team can beat a highschool team. Comparing them is like comparing apples and oranges. When you get to highschool superpowers and very very bad D3 or NAIA teams is only where the possibility of an upset could happen. I'd still put my money on the college team.

:thumb: I'm not saying Coach Ray is perfect, but I wouldn't want to play under anyone else my highschool career. In all fairness to him he took the no-name program of McNick and turned it into a very good program in Cincy, and IMO would be a powerhouse in many area's of this state. Not to mention he had to fight Moller for atheletes every year. Winning a state championship in Ohio is a lot different than in KY, although we are starting to catch up with them. Accept my comments as personal oppinion.

:laugh: I figured out that the best way to beat her on that is to have horrible handwriting... well that is until she started docking off points because of it. I'll be there hopefully friday (if they beat Apollo) to cheer the Alma Mater on and to enjoy the student section!

Another thing that people seem to overlook is the fact that traditionally sucessful programs get more practice time than other schools. Because of post season play and practice, some players could have as much as 2 seasons worth of practices extra by the end of their senior year because their team perennially go deep in the playoffs while other teams don't.

:laugh: I don't think I could stand living at home going to school 5 minutes away after having the experiance of dorming it. Centre might be a little more expensive, but I think its worth it. Especially since our J.V. teams have beaten them every time since I've been here :devil:
