States Electing For Spring Football
I am against football being played in the spring. For couple reasons 1. Turn around from Spring to Fall is short. Injury recovery window is small. I think we may put kids at risk. 2. Some Seniors may not want play fear of risking injury and short recovery time to get ready for next level. 3. Kid that may graduate in Winter will miss senior season.

Will there be high school football this fall?
Yes it is something we should be concerned about. But to jump 700 people in day scares everyone and those numbers are misleading. They are working on daily averages then report the daily averages and not a 700 person bump like they did on Sunday. I am sending my child to school. Because the mental health is more concerning than this virus. I am watching both sides react and the truth has to be in the middle. If the truth is in the middle then I think it is safe to live as close to normal as possible. With some exceptions.

I believe we need to take steps to stay safe. BUT I also believe that the numbers are misleading. We hear a number of positive test are daily. What we don't hear is when those test taken. What we are getting is a total of positive test results received that day. Some test take 10 - 7 -5 days to return. So I want to know the following Day 1 Number tested on Day 1, Number Positive test on Day 1 , Number negative test on day 1, Number of people in ICU on Day 1. Then do same thing each day. Example of 967 test on Sunday scares everyone. But this number is from several days. I am not saying we shouldn't be concerned. But I want real numbers daily.

Those guide lines don't seem like they are too fun.

VOR, Safety is always on my mind. There are other things that go on that coaches are needed for in schools that have a high number of kids on free and reduced lunch. See I need to make sure kids are being fed. I need to make sure summer school classes are being attended. I need to make sure kids are not doing drugs. I need to love on a few kids. Has nothing to do with X's and O's. Those kids also need to be a part of something. They need some structure that is provided. Some may need some walking around money. Some coaches have kids that have bigger issues than Covid -19. I wished that was only thing some of the kids had to deal with in life. My wife works for a school district and recently had a phone conversation with young lady who is a pretty good athlete. She was having to do some things with her body to feed herself and her siblings. I am not saying coaches can keep kids safe all the time. But the chances increase when a coach can be involved with them. These are things you can't do if you can't get them away from their environment long enough to lay your eyes on them to make sure they are ok. So sure we can wait to July 1. My daughter who is an athlete will be fine. But there is a percentage of kids that have been away from their coaches so long. May be too late.

The government will be allowing Groups of 10 to meet if not mistaken May 22nd. (I could be off a day or two) With that I am not sure why schools could start to bring players in small groups and spread out and get some conditioning in. I think this could be done and still follow guidelines.

2001 Bardstown Tigers
I agree. That team was loaded with talent and well coached.

Fred Farrier II (Franklin County '21) Recruiting
The young man is special. I think he is little underrated. Some schools will miss out on him.

Will there be high school football this fall?
If there is no football season. Means there will not be a state finals. If that is the case you may see the KHSAA fold. They can't miss that kind of revenue. The lost out on both Sweet 16 this year. No Football finals may be the final blow.

Open Job: Anderson County
I don't know the Super at Anderson County. I just don't understand the purpose of the statement they released. Doesn't serve a purpose. Other than it appears to take a shot at Coach Peach that wasn't needed.

Franklin County and Western Hills to get turf.
Good news for both schools.

Scott County 71 Frankfort 58 (11th Region Quarterfinal)
Frankfort had good run this season. After graduating 90% of their scoring was able make it to All A finals and win the 41st.
-
Time to have top teams in the Regional
Here is an idea. If you are the best team just WIN the games you play come tournament time. I get so tired of people wanting to mess with high school sports. Stop the madness with all the tweaks.

Shawnee - 2020 Schedule
DO they have a coach?
-
Frankfort 52 Franklin County 49 (41st District Championship)
He really has shown he can this season. Based off what they lost last season. To make the run they made in the ALL A and now doing it again.
-
Frankfort 52 Franklin County 49 (41st District Championship)
Coach O’Bryan has done a great job this season. Congrats to the Panthers!
-
Frankfort 73 Great Crossing 70 (41st District Semifinals)
If not mistaken the Panthers trailed by 13 to start the 4th.
-
Frankfort 82 Great Crossing 76
Frankfort picks up a big district win. Creates coin toss situation for seeding in the 41st district between Frankfort and Western Hills.
-
39th District Draw
I'm a fan of the blind draw. I understand the side of those that like the seeding. But I'm always pulling for the little guys! Long live the Draw!
