  1. I think he it won't take too long before he is a big time winner there. I wish him the best of luck. He is a great coach.
  2. They are starting that de-construction back up again on on October 1st!
  3. St.X's last 2 possesions the SC d-line tightened down and didn't give them much.
  4. You are right. We haven't really been able to give X or T very much trouble in the past, but I think it won't be too long before that happens.
  5. What time is it? I haven't heard for sure yet. Hopefully I will get to make the trip to Louisville.
  6. We really enjoy having good teams that are willing to come to Georgetown every year in Trinity or St.X. I want to commend all of the X fans that drove all this way for a scrimmage. You all have really great fans. Hopefully in the next few years we will have the field house done and there won't be a big hunk of concrete walls in the way.:thumb:
  7. You are most definatly right. But, correct me if I am wrong but isn't PSW in 3A?
  8. Sorry about that! I guess I missed one.
  9. It was a different format, both teams went 20 plays and switched and then 10 after that I beleive. Then there was a halftime that was a special teams display. I beleive I counted 3 St.X TD's and 2 SC touchdowns. The last few X drives Scott Co. controlled the line of scrimmage. SC scored a TD on a fumble return that was a great defensive play. Scott Co. was very one dimmensional on offense without Rodney Haddix.
  10. I love "One" by Metallica. It starts out slow and then it hits real hard. I love it!
  11. The KHSAA upheld its ruling and he is ineligible. He is looking into going to Hargrave Milliitary Academy or Fork Union Millitary Academy both in Virginia. It was a good ruling that it was upheld, but unfortunate that the family didn't have the rule in mind at the time when they held him back.
  12. Would you happen to know anything about Woodward, OH?
  13. Scott Co. Cardinals Aug. 25 Woodward, OH Home Sep. 1 Boone Co. Away Sep. 8 Lexington Catholic Away Sep. 15 Henry Clay Home Sep. 22 Wayne Co. Home Sep. 29 Bryan Station Away Oct. 6 Woodford Co. Home Oct. 13 Tates Creek Away Oct. 20 Dunbar Home Oct. 27 Lafayette Away
  14. Fielding a good team again at Bryan Station will be nothing but a good thing for the Lexington area, 4A, and Kentucky high school football!
  15. I think Henry Clay will be very tough again this year. They have a whole lot of speed. 4A District 7 will be tough once again this year.
  16. Is next week the passing tournament at Notre Dame? Are any KY schools going to be there? I know Scott Co. is going. Anybody else?
  17. Cody Andrews is returning for his senior season, but his passing numbers could decrease if Haddix is not allowed to play. Cody is getting interest from Boston College, UK, UL, and EKU to name a few.
  18. You don't have to speak slowly for me. I know what your saying. Now in most instances I would say that it is done for athletic purposes like you are saying, but I don't beleive that was the case for Rodney. Yes he passed 8th grade at Scott Co. Middle, but not with flying colors to say the least. His parents took him to St. Johns to try and prepare him for high school academics and life after school. And on a side note he now has a 3.2 GPA. So I would say it helped him out a little bit.
  19. Well for one thing it wasn't for sports, because St. John's is a very small private school with 200 kids at the most. They don't have any major sports teams. I beleive they started to play in a basketball league with other small catholic schools around that same time, but there probally wasn't any major competition that would make the move for athletics purposes seem true.
  20. Cody has a very strong arm, but doesn't really get much of a chance to throw the ball out of the wing-t. He runs about a 5.1 second 40, but he is quicker than that in a game. Just ask some teams last year that he faked out of their boots on the option.
  21. Georgetown High School was in the building that is currently Garth Elementary school in Scott Co.
  22. If it will help the community and the little leagues and all that, I don't see the big deal about it. Besides, it is $300,000. That is chump change out of the state budget. I'm glad for Fairdale!
