St. X vs. Scott County - How did both teams look in the first of the year scrimmage for both?

When and where was this scrimmage held? Any info on the foremat?

I do not have any info, but I would say this scrimmage would/will most definatly take place at Scott Co.

All I heard about it was St. X looked good and that Vic scored on a long run the first time he touched the ball.

 

Also for any X guys, is Deuce hurt? Person I talked to who was at the game said he didn't play.

How did Scott County look? What was the score?

Trinity scrimmages Scott County on Aug. 11. What do they have? How did they look against X? What are their strengths?

It was a different format, both teams went 20 plays and switched and then 10 after that I beleive. Then there was a halftime that was a special teams display. I beleive I counted 3 St.X TD's and 2 SC touchdowns. The last few X drives Scott Co. controlled the line of scrimmage. SC scored a TD on a fumble return that was a great defensive play. Scott Co. was very one dimmensional on offense without Rodney Haddix.

In the varsity part of the scrimmage, it was St. X. with four (4) TD's (Anderson, Hall, Simmons, and Zoeller) and Scott Co. with two (2) TD's (one on a 1 yd. run after a nice drive, and one on a fumble return for a touchdown)

 

In the one Qtr. of JV play it was tied at one TD apiece.

 

By the way, the TD's stand for touchdowns and not Tony Danzas. :lol: :lol:

Yes he is hurt, but will back, in not all that long.

 

I also was told by a very, very close source to Tiger football, that Deuce will be the best back that X has ever produced.....

 

With Tendai, and Vic in company, that's impressive.

1. Vic Anderson scored the 1st time he touched the ball on a 70-yard jaunt.

He was trapped by three Scott Co. players six yards behind the line of scrimmage, but somehow, in typical Vic fashion, broke free for the long TD.

 

2. Sophomore, DJ Hall, playing RB, scored on a 4-yard dive play after a good drive.

 

3. Will Simmons scored on a 22-yard pass reception, but I can't remember whether Chris Wade or Ben Zoeller made the throw.

 

For this entire scrimmage, the Tigers only used three (3) running plays and three (3) passing plays. Coach Glaser kept things very basic.
