I read somewhere, I think the Georgetown paper, that he lost the appeal.

The KHSAA upheld its ruling and he is ineligible. He is looking into going to Hargrave Milliitary Academy or Fork Union Millitary Academy both in Virginia. It was a good ruling that it was upheld, but unfortunate that the family didn't have the rule in mind at the time when they held him back.

There is nothing to appeal in Rodney's case. This is a cut and dried rule.

 

He will land somewhere and prepare for a nice college scholarship to an outstanding Division I school in either football or basketball.

I'm told that Haddix will attend a prep school in Nevada that is affiliated with North Broward Prep in Florida, where former Lexington Catholic coach Danny Haney is the basketball coach and athletic director.

I have gotten the same info. The same company owns both of these schools and Haney played a part in getting Haddix there.

I've seen a few of Findlay Prep's game summaries, and he has been either the leading scorer or second-leading scorer in every game. He's made an all-tournament team or two, impressive considering the talent that he's playing against on a regular basis.

"Rodney Haddix was playing for Findlay Prep, a new school in Las Vegas, and doing well -- he was averaging 17 points a game -- before he suffered a broken foot in practice after the holidays.
