PARIS HIGH SCHOOL Blanton Collier attended and coached at Paris High School. He went on to copach the University of Kentucky and Cleveland Browns. His 1964 Browns team won the NFL championship and remains the second most recent Cleveland professional sports team to win a title. Bill Arnsparger attended and coached at Paris High School, and went on to coach in the NFL (Dolphins, Colts, Giants) and was the Head Coach at LSU. He was well known for the “No-Name Defense”!

What about the 2004 season (2-13) when Highlands had to forfeit those games. How does that figure in the KHSAA record books for losing seasons? Just asking...

Paris had to go the length of the court with four seconds left. Ryan Davis inbound the ball to Jekobi Wells and he quickly pushed it up the court and hit a wide open Ashford under the basket for the layup at 0.3 on the clock!

Jones played and Marcus Ashford hit the game winner for Paris!

No.3 Paris will play host to No.6 Mason County Tuesday night at 7:30 at Earl E. Redwine Gymnasium!

For the second time this season (different sport) that Paris and Brossart will play an important game. During football season, the Hounds knocked Brossart from the unbeaten ranks and went on to capture the district title. Playing on that Greyhound football team were Koebe Garrard, James Clark, Jekobi Wells, Wan Dumphord, Jasper Wolff, Demond Dorsey, Jordan Davis and Jacquaze Dumphord ... meaning 8 of Paris' round-ball players played in that important district football game. Now, they will play in a very important basketball game ... a win would give them their first small school region title since 2002, which is the same season Paris last won a football district championship! Go Hounds ... bring it home! :watching:

Paris went wire to wire. .. but hats off to Augusta, they played hard the entire game and never quit! The Greyhounds kept their composure at the end and pulled out the win. #parispride

It's true ... Garrard, Clark, Wells, Johnson and Ashford only played during warm-ups!

Demond Dorsey had 16 points and 18 rebounds and Travis Strings had 11 points and 9 steals!

Marcus Ashford, Eric Johnson and Tayjin Cunningham ... all from Paris! Ashford and Johnson are currently starting for this year's Hounds team and Cunningham has also started a few games and he could very well be the best shooter on the team.
