No disrespect to Coach Elsbernd (don't know him at all) but no matter how hard he has his girls playing at Bracken County, it really will not matter when it comes to playing George Rogers Clark and Campbell County (and that goes for all of the other teams in the 10th Region) ... GRC and Campbell will be in a league of their own! And trust me, both can flat out play defense! I'm just being honest. :isurrender:

Probably open the door for Anna Clephane to win the Player of the Year .. especially, if she has the same season she had a year ago!

Trust me, I know.... just going on what team they played on a year ago when named to the All-Region team ....

Maybe it was a mistake or misprint .... and it should've went to another team ... Paintsville maybe, but nevertheless, who cares, rankings don't mean a thing ... they're just fun to look at!

1A. George Rogers Clark - they are the defending champs until someone knocks them off! 1B. Campbell County - this team will challenge GRC at the top. --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- Now, the rest of the rankings 3. Scott High - the next best team outside of the top two. 4. Nicholas County - will be a sleeper in the region. 5. Bishop Brossart - you can never count out this team. 6. Mason County - lost a ton of talent but still good enough to be close to the top 5. 7. Bourbon County - they are the best of the rest. 8. Paris - all five starters return for the Ladyhounds, hopefully that's a good thing. 9. Montgomery County - the jury is still out on the Lady Indians. 10. Bracken County - because they will be better than the other teams left in the region.

Got an email that said that it is now a KHSAA requirement that schools buy Kynect Sports to do their on line stats report. Is this legit and why would the KHSAA tell schools that when most schools report their stats immediately after each game. Just curious!

On Monday, June the 19th, in front of a nice crowd, the 2017 Kentucky Statewide All “A” Basketball Champions received their rings for winning the state championship. The Paris Greyhounds, under the coaching of Terence Brooks, Marcus Ashford and Tyson Jones, made a remarkable four-day run back in January to capture the program’s first ever small school state basketball title. Along the way, they defeated No.3 Elliott County, No.2 Owensboro Catholic, No.1 Lexington Christian Academy and then knocked off defending state runner-up Newport Central Catholic in the finals. Players recognized were seniors Je’Kobi Wells (Tournament MVP), Tayjin Cunningham, Dontez Myers, DeMondre Young, Ryan Davis, Jordan Davis, Jacquez Dumphord, as well as juniors Eric Johnson, Marcus Ashford and Taleigh Adams, along with sophomore Travis Strings.

The game will resume tomorrow at noon.

Bourbon County Lady Colonel freshman Kaylyn Barnett has hit four homeruns heading into this week's action. One of those dingers was a grand slam in a win over Fairdale at the Collins Spring Softball Bash. She is also an outstanding pitcher!

Tell that to the coaches ... they voted Wells on the first team and he should stay there! Heck, for that matter, 10 other kids could be on the first team ... your kids can play, but so can Wells! I'll take the first team all day long! If you don't like it, tell the coaches how you really feel or just move to another region who do not have all-region teams!

I agree 110% ... Bracken County let a good one go ... and I still don't understand why. For one half last night his team gave the Greyhounds all they wanted and some and that's with Burden on the bench in foul trouble. Great job Coach and you know I'm behind you always! #respect

Travel never was an issue with the old 10th region ... when the KHSAA moved the 9th region teams in, that's when travel became an issue. I'm pretty sure teams like Montgomery and Clark really don't like traveling all the way to Northern Kentucky ... but they do. So, it is what it is ... if you support your team, travel should never be an issue ... otherwise, petition the KHSAA to have your team you support move to another region! This past football season, the Paris Greyhounds traveled to Ludlow, Covington Holmes (twice), Bishop Brossart, Bardstown, Middlesboro, Pineville and Paintsville ... now that's putting some miles on your car but our fans made those trips ... didn't like it ... but they still traveled!:sssh:

I still feel that GRC is the best team with the most talent!
