Apparently the 40th District Championship will not be played and GRC has been declared the champion per Twitter.

Interesting. Anyone have the scoop?

Clark was 1-1 against Bourbon during the regular season. Won the first, lost the second.

My guess is there are conflicts with graduations with bad weather/field conditions complicating matters. We've run into the same thing with the 19th District softball semifinals.

Wouldn't have been completely unprecedented. In 1997, the year of the terrible Licking River flood, the Bourbon County/Harrison County district basketball championship game was called at halftime due to flooding. A coin toss was used to determine the champion (Bourbon won). Imagine if BGP had existed for that twenty years ago?! :lol2:

Dont know where you got this info. Our radio station has been announcing that the game will be played Saturday at EKU. GRC had graduation tonight.
