Mayfield plays in a league with McCracken County and Paducah Tilghman. Murray, Calloway Co. and Marshall Co. decided not to play in the league with us this year. IMO it helps the Cardinals because those boys play together until they graduate. They don't have to get together in middle school and play as a team after years of playing against each other in Little League.

They have done the same thing in the elementary school program. For years they had two teams in every grade and a lot of kids got playing time. Now they have one team per grade. A lot of kids don't get any playing time and just stand around on the sideline. I think it will hurt them going forward.

I agree. I want to beat Beechwood anytime Mayfield plays them but most of us Cardinal fans pull for the Tigers when not playing them. The Tigers had me on the edge of my seat. You can add the Tornadoes to that too. Thanks for the updates while I was watching my Tide play today. I had the 5A and 6A game on my phone going but had the sound off.

This year seemed to be more closely contested games. I really enjoyed the games this year and got my money's worth using the NFHS app. I also watched some Alabama and Tennessee championship games.

I watched Alabama 3A championship game yesterday. Score was 29-6 at half. Final score was 35-33. Team with 6 at half won. I agree with you that Pikeville still wins
