Russell lost 3 starters from last years team. Simpson and Sparks are back for Russell to get back to the top the young girls need to come around.

Ashland played Russell in the semi-final game last year.

I left Russell off By mistake The Lady Devils are #9 on my list. Kingfish if I knew who you supported I would put them last in any sport even checkers. My question is why do you think the region is team weak or player weak just because your team is down this year.

The Cats Pause is out with the top players and the top teams. The story talked more about last year than it talked about the teams for this year.

I could be wrong but it looks like to me the same few people hijack every thread . It would be great to start a new forum for people who don't play well with others. What really is sad the players act more mature than most of the parents who post on here.

This game is not a district game anymore. Ashland is 5a Boyd County is 4a this game is about pride no matter what the records are.

Dickey did say a lot more than what I posted about the assigning secretary. If you want to repeat what he said word for word this could be a record post. After his comment about the assigning secretary he said that the officals had nothing to do with Ashland getting beat. Dirk and Dickey also made the comment what fine people Bill Heaberlin and his father are outstanding gentleman. The bottom line on his statement was it was a little odd to see the assigning secretary on the sideline coaching football.

The comment made by Dickey was this " it just looks a little strange to have the assigning secretary for football be on the Russell coaching staff". I'll go out on a limb and say if Ashland had a coach as the assigning secretary for football you would hear the same comments.

A lot of the schools who play middle school in the fall like it that way because the girls play on the High School level.If they played middle school in the winter it would be impossible for the girls to play at the High School .

With Rose Hill voting to seed the district Ashland will playing Rose Hill 2 times next season . Boyd County and Fairview also have Rose hill 2 times next season. With Rose Hill being a little down next season some teams might jump on them for a easy win. I know one team that is not playing Rose Hill next season and that is Russell.

Each school gets 1 vote and the sports writers vote for the COY and the All-Area team

I like that Moroncat has a ring to it . Hopefully we can talk at the games next year if you still support the Lady Royals.

The fan support will be about the same as this year. The Kittens support has always been about the same year in year out. a true fan will be at the game win or lose. I did not miss the point the 1st post started it all about who should be on the team. If we go back and put Britt on the team then who do we take off

The only fact I need was to watch Rose Hill play. Mark Watkins did do most of the coaching at the games that I went to.

The award was for head coach of the year. It was not for asst. coach of the year.

Why not Wilcox,Myers,Combs,Barr,Spurlock,Ward,Gibson,Fannin? That list is just a few of the girls who played this year and did not make All-Area. We needed 8 more headbands for the photo.

One vote for each school and the sportswriters vote on the All-Area team.
