the boys that played at Rose Hill then went to Ashland last year Matt, Drew and Brandon . Matt started at ashland then went to R.H. in the 6th grade . Drew came into the Ashland school system in the 7th grade for football.I believe that Brandon came to Blazer as a soph. Now lets talk about the wins and loses the to games you always talk did not toward the actual won-lose record just look at the K.H.S.A.A. website .

I really can't figure out what is the worst part of this thread looking thru all of the post of people actually trying to compare all of the different teams college and high school boys and girls basketball teams who could win. Then to bring in the WNBA the old saying apples to oranges we will never know because they will never play.

the main problem with the all-state team is when the ballots are turned in before the district. If a player has a great post season to go along with a good season they still might not make it.

Ferguson is a very good player no telling how good he will be in 3 more years. Drew is a very good basketball player maybe not the best in the region but not one you would not have on your team. It almost sounds like you don't like Drew.

this started out as a April fool day joke but it didn't take long for it to get ugly real fast I'm sorry that had to happen. Nobody from Ashland said anything to deserve this outburst about our program and what you don't like about us . I hope that the younger childen in our programs can overlook the adults who speak out with so much hate in the words we read. i say this to both parties involved not just one of them.

the coach for L.C. is Greg Todd Donna Murphy was coach for the last couple years Lexington Christian. She was let go after the season was over hard to understand why she had a great record.

Maybe age has caught up with me but I don't recall the name of Conway in the Ashland program. I could be wrong about conway but for the life of me I just can't place the name in the maroon.

picknroll you bring up a great point about a coach doing things with the team most people didn't think possible. The votes are turned in Feb. it would be nice if it could be done later .

Rickyp the only reason I brought up the boys on this thread in girls basketball was in answer to BR549 who for some unknown reason thought this was about boys basketball . When you bring up the West Carter state championship and you speak of the one that got away from us it really makes me wonder how good the kittens might of been if the 4 girls had stayed .I hope that everyone who is a fan of girls basketball will stay with their programs and follow them thru the good and the bad . Sometimes that means more than just 2 or 3 years i hope to see a lot of you fans out there in the next 5 to 6 years if not we all know why you not there.:

Just think if they never left ashland the tomcats would win a few more games. Vanhoose started at R.H. till the 4th grade then to poage then to Verity to the 7th grade . At Rose Hill he was in the 7th grade again you spoke of Thomas he aslo started in ashland at Poage school then went to Rose Hill and did a repeat of the 6th grade again. Mcdavid started at Rose Hill then went to Verity for football . If you want the whole list of the players that started at Ashland and went elsewhere to play basketball send me a p.m. and we can talk about it.::

For the same reason that we have prime time games for the girls on Friday night. I think that it would be great for the girls to play in Rupp like the boys do Lexington would be the best place to have the tournament .
