There wouldnt be a game even if it does rain. Dayton has to forfeit because they wont have enough players. 1 kid tore a ligament in his ankle, another kid broke his nose against Bracken last Wendsday and is getting surgury on it tomorrow, and 2 kids are on EOP and arent allowed to play.. so that leaves them with 8. and thats pretty sad. and I know you were messing with me.. lol just had to say someone else though bc Kreig did have a nice game.

In my opinion this game should be going still.. Dayton just cant push any runs across. And just so Big league chew can't say anything.. I wont just say Jones's name, but YES Jones started and threw CG. And Went 1-1 with a double and 2 walks. "but Zach Krieg the Catcher went 2-3 with 2 singles". But if Dayton's outfield would have showed up to play, then the score would have been 0-0. Dayton is starting to play better but just dont swing the bat very well with a few exceptions. but I think that Dayton is going in the right direction hopefully.

Jones had to leave the game in the bottom of the 3rd with a muscle strain in his throwing shoulder.. hope he is ok

This was the final in this one. Dayton should have won this game, they actually played pretty well against a williamstown team that i thought would have blown them out. Jones went 2-3 single, 3 run triple, and walk.

This was a very well pitched game by both of the teams. Dayton threw their ace Jones, he threw a CG, 3 hitter, 9 K's and 0 earned runs by calvary. The game should have been 0-0 but in the first inning some simple ground ball errors didnt help the cause. the only noteable for dayton hitting was Jones 2-3 2 singles.

he is a good pitcher, but his hitting is really impressive, his last 4 or 5 games he has went 2-3 with a double and a single everytime, so these HR's were due.. he is very strong hitter and the balls he hit out were blasts

the tigers had no problem in this game, dayton had alot of errors in this game. but one good thing that came out of this performance from dayton was James Jones. he went 2-2 with 2 two run HR's.

James Jones of Dayton started Varsity in his 7th grade year and 8th grade year and led the team in AVG, HR, and RBI's

Holmes with the state tournament experience, Paintsville with the senior leadership - should be a great game - worried about lack of depth by P-Ville. Holmes pulls away at the end.

He is the real deal, worried about the Paintsville kids getting tired, no depth, especially against Holmes, but he is for real, hope he stays in state for college!

Hmmmmm, Strongest high school football states in the country.......Texas.......Florida.......California..... and we are saying "heat" is an issue in Kentucky? Get real, the reason Football got extended is the new classifications! Thats all! Dangerous game the KHSAA is playing, trying to keep football folks happy. If they do anything to diminish the Sweet 16 they'll go broke!

Beechwood is head and shoulders better than the rest of the district right now. Can Dayton play with them by the end of the season? Who knows. But Dayton is still a solid team and will bounce back against Ludlow. Everyone's goal should be to get to Beechwoods level by the season's end.

Don't count Dayton out.........these guys are senior led and keep finding a way to win games. I say Dayton 14-13 scoring on the final play of the game.
