Pendleton Co. 7 Dayton 0

Featured Replies

Sophomore Colton Partin improves his record to 2-2 on the season, pitching 5 solid innings. The Cats keep on improving, and despite a slow start tonight, have been showing signs of playing their best baseball of the season. If the weather stays away Pendleton plays at Newport tommorrow, then they travel to Georgetown to play in a Scott Co. Tournament.

In my opinion this game should be going still.. Dayton just cant push any runs across. And just so Big league chew can't say anything.. I wont just say Jones's name, but YES Jones started and threw CG. And Went 1-1 with a double and 2 walks. "but Zach Krieg the Catcher went 2-3 with 2 singles". But if Dayton's outfield would have showed up to play, then the score would have been 0-0. Dayton is starting to play better but just dont swing the bat very well with a few exceptions. but I think that Dayton is going in the right direction hopefully.

Despite the slow start the CATS had, they played well on both sides. Partin started off cold but seemed to find his rhythm later on in the 2nd and 3rd innings. Travis Rawe came in relief and pitched great. Struck out the last 3 batters of the game. The CATS are starting to hit the ball throughout the line up from top to bottom. 2 players had a couple RBI's and a few others had 1 a piece. For what PC has gone through from the start of the season, they are playing the best ball they have all year. Good luck to Dayton the rest of the year!

Hey sorry Gym Rat I just like to mess with ya.. I was going to go to the Dayton game tomorrow and see how good this kid is but it looks like that game might be rained out.

There wouldnt be a game even if it does rain. Dayton has to forfeit because they wont have enough players. 1 kid tore a ligament in his ankle, another kid broke his nose against Bracken last Wendsday and is getting surgury on it tomorrow, and 2 kids are on EOP and arent allowed to play.. so that leaves them with 8. and thats pretty sad. and I know you were messing with me.. lol just had to say someone else though bc Kreig did have a nice game.

So they've been playing with 12 all year and are now down to 10 players? Wow.

BTW, mark me down as one who's always interested to hear updates/stats on Jones. :thumb: Good ball player who would get a lot of recognition were he at another school.
