Gym Rat Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 This was a very well pitched game by both of the teams. Dayton threw their ace Jones, he threw a CG, 3 hitter, 9 K's and 0 earned runs by calvary. The game should have been 0-0 but in the first inning some simple ground ball errors didnt help the cause. the only noteable for dayton hitting was Jones 2-3 2 singles.
cooperstown Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 I'm sure it's frustrating for Jones to play in that environment. Things will be much different for him this summer.

Jones isn't the only player on the team there are three other players that have the same situation as Jones. Thornton, Kraft, and Schwierjohann it doesn't help Dayton when these four guys are their only pitchers too.

Does anyone know the problem.
jb25 Posted May 6, 2008 Posted May 6, 2008 Spring football, it just seems that they are trying so hard to improve in one sport, that they are killing another to do it. Kids that used to be 3 sport athletes are now specializing, and the hot sport now is football. Real frustrating as a GreenDevil alum to see Bellevue having their success knowing that most of these kids played together in Knothole for the Bellevue Vets teams.
