The Louisville area is loaded with players from this class. Who are some of the best in Louisville and around the state?

Fleming Co. has a lot of potential in this class

Yes, Louisville seems to be blessed with the class of 2010. I would invite others to chime in rather than leave anyone out. Some stand out more than others at the moment, but others have a lot of untapped potential as well. Here’s to name some………..

From Louisville:

Trinity: Carney, Littrell, Bowling

Manual: Doering, Bowles

PRP: Hockman, Banks

ST. X: Pelham, Schmeing, Remmers, Rizenbergs, Deuser

Ballard: Fidanza

Male: Kameron Mason, Messex

Holy Cross: Porter

Butler: Brown, McGrath, Bale, Pardue

Bullit East: Alphin, Bowles, and Whitmer

Portland Christian: name slips my mind…a utility-type player that has started for several years.

Trevor Gott would have to be included in the Lexington area.

Cole Sturgeon from Owensboro.

Lawrence Co. Shane Pack & Jordan Miller

Bryan Settle is the kid from Portland Christian.

Out of the 5th you have:

Tyler Wright at Marion (Now 6'7" and throwing mid 80's)

Casey Robinson at Bethlehem (Will return as a 2nd year starter.)

Sure there are some more.

Boyd Co- Chase Petitt

East Carter has several nice players in this class, with these 2 standing out. Both started as freshmen.

Tyler Back 6'3 Catcher

Derek Stapleton SS

East And Greenup both have a good sophomore class, but Greenups is a little better.

East And Greenup both have a good sophomore class, but Greenups is a little better.

Of course they are. I am sure the average temp. is a little higher in Greenup, the avg. income is higher, the unemployment rate is lower, the average lifespan is longer, etc..................You definitely wear green glasses.

Im jus saying in my opninon they are better because they can go deeper. Derek Stapelton is a really good infielder, definatley better definsively than any of Greenups sophomores, but he lacks on the offensive side. Otherwise Tyler back is stronger on the offensive side, but this is all I see of East's sophomores, that I know of. Greenup had 4 sophomores last year who contributed to thier 16th region championship. Rice, i believe hit 4 homeruns last year, and Reed had the hit against Boyd that turned the game around. Staten also played all year long hitting lead off for most of the season, and Greenslate who pitched all year long who pitched in 2 different games of the 16th region tournament. If East would have 2 more players like Stapelton and Back, then yes they probably would be better.

They have Dylan McDavid, a strong left handed hitter, Kyle Bair who throws the baseball with good velocity (mid 80's) and is also a big strong athlete, they also have Tommy Carper and Tanner Ashworth who are nice complimentary players. They have 4 outstanding prospects and 2 other very solid players in this group. I agree that Greenup has a good group of soph. too. East may start 5 of these sophomores this season.

I forgot about Kyle Bair. Both teams have about equal talent in sophomores. I thin.k Greenup will be starting a few of thier sophomores to

If Greenup is so good, how come East's Babe Ruth team has never had a problem with them? They are a good team though.

Greenups players, I believe don't play Babe Ruth. The competition in Babe Ruth isnt as good as that in Legion ball and summer traveling teams.
