  1. Are you talking about the Highlands player or #7's ankle? Both look painful.
  2. I think Johnson Central will have their way with South Point. However, the thing that intrigues me the most is how JK Ratliff will play. With all of the attention the South Point QB is getting, I wonder if there will be any college scouts in attendance. If that is the case, it could be a great opportunity for JK to begin to make a name for himself in the eyes of some colleges. Now, before some of you begin to jump my case for saying that Ratliff is a top college prospect...that is not what I am saying. However, he does have a college frame (6'4 or 6'5") and a really strong arm. This could be a plus or it could be a negative depending on how he responds to the pressures of having scouts in the stands if there are any there. Does anyone from JC have any knowledge of colleges which have indicated they will be in attendance?
  3. Les has had a problem with Johnson Central since the 2000 season when South Laurel was defeated at Johnson Central during the Golden Eagles' perfect season. So, personally, I don't put a lot of stock in what he has to say.
  4. Thank you and i too believe it was P-Burg.
  5. Settle Down? I just asked for an updated score...with all of the changing threads I didn't know if it had changed.
  6. That's sad...and I'm not joking.
  7. Now that's funny...true...but funny.
  8. That was not a typo. Matney said it was a $15000 package. I believe it was part of the Touchstone Energy Bowl being played this week.
  9. You might want to do that...check the map that is. Columnus is the same travel time as Louisville. BTW, is Louisville even considered part of KY anymore? I thought all that red meant that it was annexed as part of IN.
  10. I believe it had to do with the KHSAA moving Johnson Central three out of four years...or something like that. I believe the conflict arose with Greenup County as the Apple Bowl week was the only date they had available.
  11. Believe it or not....this actually is one case of a scheduling conflict.
  12. This coming from a man with four first names...lol...why is it so hard to stay on topic? The fact is that a lot, not all, but a lot of teams refuse to play Johnson Central. Whether Johson Central loses in the first round of the playoffs has no bearing on whether or not teams will play Johnson Central. It's really not that hard if we all concentrate.
  13. He said as he crawled out from under a rock.
  14.   A PERFECT example of missing the point.
  15. Those are the same teams that I have heard too. Some teams will say that Johnson Central's size is a factor....but, like you said, these same teams had no problem playing the larger school when a "W" could marked down in the preseason.
  16. I don't know how many of you heard Matney's comments before the North Laurel game Friday. But, I wanted to get some thoughts on his comment that other East KY teams were dodging the Golden Eagles. He said that it has been tough finding local teams that were willing to play Johnson Central. Apparantly one school turned down a $15000 package. It seemed out of the ordinary for a coach to call out other teams like that. What do you guys think? Personally, being a Johnson Central fan, I like the confidence being displayed by the Golden Eagles.
  17. Josh Gourdouze sounded like a beast last night. He seemed to be in on nearly every play from the NG position. This kid is quick as a cat and will pose a big problem for big, slow offensive lines.
  18. I believe he was also known as "The Kentucky Long Rifle"
  19. Don't forget Johnnie LeMaster from Paintsville. He Played for the Pirates and Giants...not sure of any other team. Also, on a side note, LeMaster is the only player in MLB history to hit an inside-the-park home run in his first major league at bat.
  20. IMO...The Tigers have the most talent in the region (that is if everyone returns). However, They are also some of the most selfish players I have ever seen. Unless they find a way to play together and get rid of the me-first attitude they will be another quick out in the regional tournament.
  21. I would feel a lot better if Magoffin County had been in the Sweet 16 last year. They have played some big games this season and will not be an easy win for E-Town. These Ladies have had a great season and Coach Miller has done an excellent job this year. Good Luck Lady Hornets. Bring one home for the 15th Region.
