  1. If fairness is an issue, why don't we eliminate the district runner-ups from going on? How many times do you see a team that was beat in the district finals, thus what should mean elimination, go on and win the region with that second chance? Why dont we turn all tournaments into a double elimination and get the true "best" teams from each region?
  2. Even the class A is a joke. You can have 425 (133 per class) in the top 3 grades and be class A. Some of those little schools like Cloverport, Silver Grove, Monticello, Burgin, Deming, Augusta, etc. graduate about 25 or 30 per year.
  3. I hate consolodation. Give me a 32 game schedule that you can fill from a 4 county area and an 8 team district tournament anyday.
  4. Can we make trades? Is the KHSAA extending the trade deadline?? I'll trade you Scott County for 4 class "A" schools and a junior high to be named later.
  5. PS. Stephens McCreary team won it in '76, so don't feel too sorry for him. He was a pretty good player in his own right. If anyone saw him shoot it, they would know what I am talking about.
  6. '75 was the year McCreary was supposed to win with Stephens as a junior. He missed a big shot at the end where the McCreary people thought he got fouled against Pulaski at PC. Kind of reminiscent of the ending of the West Jess game vs Lincoln. Pulaski had upset Danville in the first round to get to that game. Wasn't Crab Orchard the "Cubs"? Stanford, Waynesburg, Hustonville, Crab Orchard, and who consolodated? One other 12th Region tidbit. Last other team to win region on first consoldated year? Laurel County in '71. Pulaski in '81 and Mercer County '07 missed the boat. It was their turn to consolodate and win the 12th
  7. A school can turn in whatever seating capacity they want to the KHSAA. No one checks.
  8. Lincoln beat Pulaski in the '75 finals behind Robert Johnson. I think in '80 they beat Boyle?
  9. Anymore, everyone who gets beat, supposedly gets "screwed" by the officials......sad indeed.
  10. Would have liked to seen Somerset shoot the last shot in regulation without a time out, but that wasnt the difference.
  11. He deserves it, but I heard at the Lincoln gym tonight that it wasnt him who won it..
  12. Roscoe still owes on his phone bills from last time at the 'ville
  13. People in their system, who are excellent sources, tell me contact has been made with a couple of guys, one with previous head coaching experience, one who used to coach there and is a present head coach somewhere else, and one who has a high school aged son and was a good basketball player in college. Several others have contacted them, but not sure of the status overall.
  14. That would be considered politically insensitive in today's world to be a "Navajo", but MC Napier was a great place to be at a ball game.
  15. With scouting reports like this, no wonder the Raiders went out in the first round.
  16. There has been a lot of talk about the AHS boys going to the region back to back, but when was the last year the girls went, not counting last season?
  17. By the way, being from Lexington, I have seen West play several times? And they play uptempo, ranging from full court presses to the sideline break off free throws.
  18. Les, If it doesnt pertain to the greatness of McCreary? He cant see it rationally. I have noticed that all year in his statements. So dont be offended. Your rational insight is obvious to most everyone
  19. Who took you out of the game, URIT? I talk to your old coach and he's one of your biggest fans. I saw Larkins play. Not bad at all. You guys had a fun team to watch back in the day.
  20. Rob Jones: Heck of a man, wonderful basketball coach. I said it earlier this year and I'll say it again....biased biased biased. Cant see the forest for the trees.
  21. # 13 in '96 was PK...got a long way to top PK as a shooter. I saw him shoot many a long one in that there goal on the east end of the Den
