Coach Dantzler is a great coach. It would be bad for football in the state if he isn't coaching. Plus, his son is a really nice junior player at Central also.

Browning is very good. He was one of four QBs at the start and they rotated between he and Jurich (#7) for most of the season. Jurich is a really good safety - big-time hitter. Have been in a meeting and not able to watch. They did have two main guys get injured last week against X late #2 and 3 and both are huge weapons. Not sure if they are playing or not???

Backups need reps, plus a few injuries. A good week to work on fundamentals, get a win, and move on.

Congrats to X! I swear, every year I am not going to get blindsided by Manual, and I continued the tradition this year. They never fail to disappoint at some point.

Ugh. Poor Western Know one of the Warriors coaches. I think they have totaled just over 500 yards of offense all season and have only scored four offensive touchdowns. Tough.

Way to go, Greenies! Growing up right before our eyes. A 6-1 record against a really aggressive schedule. Two games left - at CovCath and at LaSalle.

X defense was very good. Very surprised after seeing them both play Trinity that Moeller beat X.

X is in trouble until Trimble gets back. He's very good and can at least throw the ball down the field, and gives you an added dimension with his legs. Heard from a few kids that he might not play against Manual, which would be huge.

Just saw a story with the stats posted. Yikes! FD outgained them 301 to 170. That is crazy to think about. Can't believe how far Male has fallen. Will they even win the district? Southern is terrible, but Bullitt East and Fern Creek both have better offenses than Male.

I felt like they should have won the Moeller game. But in this one, the Bombers made a few really good plays, and the defense is very good. Still right there with two of the best in Cincinnati is not a bad thing. Plenty to work on, now you get the next six weeks to get it right. Not overlooking anyone, but still should be six straight running clocks. I hate to even type that but it's the truth.

First of all, whatever. Just win and don't fret; this is a dumb system. But a couple of thoughts, if you look at this list: **There is absolutely no possible way there are eight teams worse than PRP. If that's the case, then this must be the worst year ever for 6A football in Kentucky. **I assume that South Warren and likely Manual would be ahead of the Trinity-St. X winner just because of the out-of-state component. It's stupid, but it is what it is. I doubt Trinity or X will stop playing the better out-of-state teams just to get the RPI up. Other schools may, but not those two. **Oldham County up there just makes the whole thing absurd. I assume that number will come down over the next few weeks when they play Ballard and Trinity. **Douglass and Ryle are in an interesting battle. I can't imagine it won't come down to those two schools to play each other....with the highest RPI getting home-field advantage. Crazy they are that close in the first one. **A lot of things to make you scratch your head if you really look at the rankings and go to each team's schedules. Don't understand the KHSAA keeping this; don't see how they can for much longer.

Yeah, after a few days to mull it over - and celebrate! Trinity's defensive line absolutely won the game, as many expected they would. It wasn't even the sacks....just the pressure and the ability to stop the run. The defensive line is just so big and physical, and there are so many of them. Literally, two rotations and more. I still believe there's plenty of room for the Trinity offense to improve. And they must knock down the penalties. All in all, it's been a good start to the week! On a side note, I hope Trimble is ok. Good luck the rest of the way to X.

Will have more thoughts later. But a couple of things.... *Great win and a sweep on the week for the Rocks! *Sloppy night for the Rocks overall in my opinion. Still too many penalties and a few missed tackles in key spots. Overall, the defense was in the backfield a lot and did a great job. *Shamrocks will get better because of this game, excited for the rest of the season. *Puzzling end for X. You can't just run out the clock when only down 11 can you?

Don't know what they're saying, but in my section.....we said we'd all be ticked off if Trinity managed the clock the way they did down 11 with 4 minutes to go. Literally, like they just gave up.

Male is playing ALL froshmore games. I don't believe they have many freshmen. They list four on the varsity roster, and I believe the overall number is around 20.

I'm out of town, but I know been raining most of the day. Was it raining during the game? Anyone have any details - a tale of two halves?
