  1. I hope he doesn't get caught up in having handlers or an entourage or whatever and get caught up with having sleezy AAU coaches around him (not all are sleezy, just some) who are getting involved in him for the wrong reason and giving him bad advice.
  2. I would be very surprised if Bell Co. scored less than 4 TDs tonight.
  3. As a player we did it a lot on Fridays. I loved doing that. We'd practice early and then the rest of the day your up and awake and feel good about yourself. Then as a player getting Friday evening off was really nice.
  4. I'm not so sure. Really in the Sweet 16 last year I thought Polson was awfully good. Hes had some health issues this offseason and is kind of the forgotten man. But that kid can play! Also Vee Sanford played PG. I'd put him ahead of Justice last year without question.
  5. Some darkhorse candidates would be: Josh Whitaker Matt St. John Jarrod Polson Thomas Jackson Aaron Watts Vance Hall All these guys that I listed could put up huge numbers this year IMO.
  6. I think McCadden deserves a lot of consideration. He is carrying Bryan Station on offense and leads the state in rushing.
  7. http://www.courier-journal.com/blogs/demling/2009/10/mark-your-calendar-prp-scrimmage.html I was looking at Jody Demlings blog and noticed something that seemed out of whack. Jody Demling says SL is scheduled to play at 3 at PRP on Nov. 21st. I thought Nov. 21st was the day of the scrimmages at the Corbin Civic Center and SL was going to play Scott Co.
  8. A problem there could be people watching those teams and picking different guys for the award. Like if Johnson and Pittman are both having big years they may split a lot of the votes. The same could be said for Guyn and Jackson.
  9. I don't know which game would be more entertaining. There is some great matchups in this field. I'd love for it to be put on the internet and be able to watch the games like on wazoo.sports or something like that.
  10. Really? Why is he not eligible? He is a freshman in high school. I've heard rumors about him being all over the place.
  11. A lot of unknown about them. They simply haven't playd anyone this year. Who could blame them after going 0-10, but they really haven't been tested.
  12. Who does everyone think has the best chance of winning Mr. Basketball this year?
  13. I don't think it will be that low scoring, atleast not for Bell Co. The passing game has been effective for the Bobcats and I think they will score often.
  14. Ruling without rhyme or reason is consistent for the KHSAA.
  15. 2012 kids that I believe have a good chance of playing pretty big college basketball are: Tamron Manning Jaylen Beckham Isaiah Ivey Charles Foster Mike Terry Desmond Dorsey Devon Rowan Jordan Brewer
  16. My apologies. I did not think Rose Hill was having a team. If they are having a team, then based on the rules and the information I know then he wouldn't be eligible.
  17. Why would they rule him ineligible? I just find it hard to rule any kid ineligible as long as there is a decent reason. Having no basketball team at Rose Hill is a great reason to leave! Unless it can be proven that recruiting is involved I believe the only way a transfer should be ruled ineligible is if that person switches schools without moving and doesn't have a legitimate reason for the move.
  18. Looks like some great early season scrimmages. If it wasn't so far away I'd go! I'd love to see some of the matchups.
  19. Yeah a district voting not to play a team maybe the dumbest thing that I have ever heard. I think had Mason had success, as far as winning some games against Scott Co. recently they would still be playing.
  20. Thats good. Hes a nice player. I believe he can do more than his brother could. Hes a stronger kid and better at putting the ball on the floor and going inside.
  21. Does Harlan Co. run the same defense they always ran when Larkey was at Rockastle? For about a 4 or 5 year period their defense was ridiculously good! Especially against the run.
  22. For them to beat LexCath I don't know if thats an upset, atleast not looking at it now in the preseason. I believe Tates Creek will be ranked right up there with LexCath and maybe higher. I was looking at their schedule on the KHSAA website and I believe they play Scott Co. on Dec. 8th. That will be a great early season matchup!
  23. I'm not sure. I believe LexCath and Tates Creek are neck and neck.
