Boyle and Johnson Central have met 3 previous times. In 2009 Boyle won at home 49 - 7. In the return game in 2010, Boyle went to JC and won 36 - 29 (I remember JJ Jude and how tough a runner he was). And finally, the 21 - 20 win by JC in the 2019 state championship game.

If Boyle were to win this game, Justin Haddix would become the 3rd head coach (Chuck Smith, Larry French) to win at least two state championships at Boyle County. And he would have two in as many seasons there.

I will never pick against any team that has Chuck Smith as a coach!! And with two Smiths, well…
