  1. Sounds awesome. I wanted to check out Little Nashville but never did. Only reviews I ever heard on Little Nashville was there were lots of fights. Hopefully Bourbon & Broad can become a solid venue.
  2. I'd say Highlands has had that reputation for a while. Scott Draud didn't grow up in Fort Thomas, did he? Derek Smith from Silver Grove, Jared Lorenzen from Edgewood, Justin Frisk (don't believe he was from Fort Thomas), Jordan Nevels from Independence, Mike Mitchell from Florence / Cov Cath. Just to name a few. I've been on BGP long enough to know how this thread ends, and as CWB said, it isn't pretty. Kids want to play for a winning program, and I have no problem with that. But Highlands earned that reputation because they win a lot, and because they've had some high profile players from out of district. I must say, it's an entertaining thread every offseason.
  3. I can't speak for the entire diocese, but I do have a friend that teaches at a Catholic grade school. I believe they still have to pay tuition for their daughter to attend the school, but it comes with a significant discount. I believe it only applies at that school (i.e. mom's employer), and the discount is not diocese-wide.
  4. Sounds like a great win. Interesting to note that CCH scored exactly ZERO 2nd chance buckets.
  5. I'm assuming both are high level D1?
  6. Proof that this thread belongs in the Premium Members Forum.
  7. I need to check this place out.
  8. I've never known Holmes to have much of a student section.
  9. How does a school that is as big as Boone County lack talent?
  10. How many people were at the Fieldhouse tonight?
  11. You're absolutely right and that man can shoot a free throw.
  12. Weren't there something like 68 kids that tried out for this year's team? If that happens again next year, they almost HAVE to have 2 teams, right?
  13. You're absolutely right, my mistake. :thumb:
  14. According to my research, Holy Cross hasn't made the regional tournament since the 1998-1999 season. That year they beat Ludlow 49-33 at Holmes in the 1st round of district, then lost to Cov Cath 46-34 in the District Championship. Holy Cross then drew Highlands for the 1st round of the region (at Conner) and lost 60-56. HHS then cruised to the regional championshp, beating SK 63-49 in the semis and CCH 58-37 in the 9th regional finals.
  15. Cov Cath's wrestling program is in its infancy. I'm sure more football players will wind up wrestling over the years.
