  1. Thank you so much Spindoc and LCDAWGS.
  2. God, please let this man, a son of yours, have a peaceful and painless death. God, please show him your open arms as he enters our House in Heaven. Please be with his family in this time. In Jesus' name, Amen.
  3. By the way.....Welcome to our BGP Family Big Black Jack!!!
  4. My dad will be going back to the doctor either wed or thrus.....I will keep you all updated....thanks again for all the prayers!!
  5. Actually, when The Purples reach the running clock, that is usually when they pull their starters.....We have never heard anyone ever complain about that before.....
  6. BGHS overcame a furious second qtr by Lafayette and some key penalties and two interceptions to improve to 2-0 on the young season. Nacarius Fant snagged a 46 yard pass from QB Devin Hayes and Blue Tisdale ran 35 yards for another score in the first qtr. Dane Drobocky hit both PATs and the Purples led 14-0. Then Lafayette staged a very nice comeback with their QB scoring a rushing TD and throwing for another. The PATs were good, and the score was tied at 14 with 0:38 left in the first half. BGHS used a very effective two minute offense and, aided by a face mask penalty, scored on a one yard plunge by Tisdale with one second left before the half. The Purples were up 21-14 at halftime. It was all Purples in the second half. Blake Pillow scored on an eight yd run and Spencer Renfro scored on an eight yd toss from Hayes for a 35-14 lead after three. Renfro scored again on a 36 yd pass from Hayes in the fourth, and the Generals tacked on a late score but failed on the two pt conversion attempt. Hunter Hanks scored the final pt of the game. HUGE game next week as BGHS appears at home for the first time in 2012. They will be preparing for an outstanding St Xavier team. Best of luck for the Purples!:thumb:
  7. Renfro caught another TD pass, this time from 36 yds out, and the Generals tacked on a very late score with less than a minute to go in the game. Final is Purples 42, Generals 20.:thumb We're done...stick a fork in this one!
  8. Thank you so much LRCW and Lawnboy....your prayers are recieved!
  9. That was beautifully said BF. Thank you so much. This means a lot coming from you because of what you have been through!
  10. Thank you so much....I have to believe that He will see us through this....my poor mom and brother are a wreck...I am as well. It would be so much easier if they were here....
  11. Congrats!!!! BGP prayers always seem to work!!! Will be sending prayers your way!
  12. At the end of three, it's BGHS 35, Lafayette 14. Blake Pillow scored on an eight yd run and Spencer Renfro caught an eight yd scoring pass from Hayes!:thumb:
  13. An interception, a couple of key penalties, and a muffed onside kick enabled Lafayette to tie the game with 0:38 left in the 1st half. However, BGHS got a great kickoff return and worked a very effective two minute offense. They got down to the Lafayette one yard line, and the Generals stopped the Purples with one second left, but got called for a face mask penalty. Tisdale then scored his second rushing TD of the game, and the Purples lead 21-14 at the half.
  14. End 1st qtr, BGHS 14, Lafayette 0. Comedy of errors on penalties at first, then the Purple Machine gets cranked up with a 46 yd TD pass from Devin Hayes to Necarius Fant and a 35 yd run by Blue Tisdale!
  15. Thank you GaViking and gold sunrise.....I don't know what I would ever do without gold sunrise and her angels!!!!
  16. Thank you PurplePride.....The thing is, the house needs to sell before Oct because the Doctor does not want dad to travel with a bunch of different germs....But, with You all praying a healing for my dad, he may not have to worry about germs! Thanks again!!
  17. We all know how powerful The BGP Prayer Chain is. I am needing you all once again please. My dad has many health issues. The biggest one he is battling right now is kidney failure. The doctors are wanting him to go on dialysis. My parents have been trying to sell thier home in Washington State and move here to KY before he starts. He got blood work done today and his kidney function is going lower. Please pray that their place will sell and for a complete healing for my dad. Thank you all so much.....My BGP Family is the greatest!!!!
  18. South Warren has come a long way in one year after their first year of varsity ball last year...excellent effort! Hats off to the Spartans for giving Warren East a real dogfight tonight. Give East kudos for coming through when it really counted, as this was in doubt until about less than 1 1/2 minutes left! Offensive Player of the Game: senior RB Khyree Boards, Warren East. Defensive Player of the Game: junior DT Adrian Middleton, South Warren.
  19. Offensive Player of the Game: junior QB Delvin Hayes. Defensive Player of the Game: senior S Allen Gonsalves. Outstanding job, gentlemen!:thumb:
  20. Many thanx for the kudos, guys! I'll be sure to pass them on to the staff and the players. It shows how incredibly deep we were last year. I was surprised because we have only one returnee on defense and three on offense. On top of that, we lost 30 seniors and have only ten this year. We also have a streak where we play, in order, Lafayette, St Xavier, Henderson Co, and Owensboro. The Henderson Co game is at Henderson, and the visitor has never won. Also, you can throw out the records in the Owensboro series because they're old WKC opponents (70 games in the series), and emotions run high! After Fall Break, we have our toughest district games at Warren Central, host Greenwood, and end the season with a non-district tilt hosting Lexington Catholic. Lots of worthy teams in the playoffs this year too! Junior RB Blue Tisdale ran nine times for 85 yards and two scores. Junior QB Devin Hayes completed ten of 15 passes for 178 yards and two scores and no pics. Returning AP First Team All State Junior Necarius Fant snagged three passes for 77 yards and a score, and Junior RB Blake Pillow caught three for 57 yards and the other passing score. We open our season next Saturday in the first game of The Rafferty's Bowl at WKU against what should be an improved Allen Co-Scottsville team. Looking forward to continuing my tradition of welcoming our guys on and off the field!
