  1. Madison Southern finished 7-3, losing to Wayne County 14-24. Atherton had a bye in the final week of the regular season and finished 5-5. Atherton is playing their first playoff game since 2008. The 5-5 record is the best for the Rebels since 1976, their last winning season. The Eagles have not lost a home game this year. Who wins?
  2. Fern Creek finished 6-4, the Tigers had a bye last week. Anderson County finished 7-3, routing North Oldham 49-7. Fern Creek enters the postseason with a 2 game winning streak. Anderson County’s win give them some momentum entering the playoffs and broke a 2game losing streak. Can the Tigers put together a 3rd straight deep run in the playoffs or can the Bearcats get their first playoff win since 2011?
  3. Montgomery County finished 8-2, beating Lincoln County 39-33. Southern finished 4-6, losing to DeSales 6-41. Montgomery County enters the playoffs on a 3 game winning streak. The Indians have scored 60 points or more 3 times, while Southern has scored above 30 just twice this year. The Trojans haven’t won a playoff game for 20 years, can they get one on the road vs the Indians? Montgomery County is looking for their first playoff win since 2011.
  4. Doss finished 7-3, beating North Hardin 14-9. Woodford County finished 0-10 losing to West Jessamine 14-28. Doss enters the playoffs on a 6 game winning streak. The Dragons win over Fern Creek earned them the district 4 title and Home field advantage until the Finals (at Kroger Field). Can the Yellow Jackets give the Dragons a game or will Doss roll?
  5. Covington Catholic finished undefeated 10-0, beating Campbell County 49-13. Bullitt East finished 4-6, losing to Christian Academy of Louisville 7-28. Covington Catholic rolled through their opponents with an average margin of victory of 35.8 points, the closest game was a 21 pt win over Kings (OH). Bullit East was tied for 2nd place in their district with Oldham County and Bullitt Central, but lost the tiebreaker to get the 4 seed. Can the Chargers put up a fights or will the Colonels get another big win?

The two met on Sept 8th, with Bowling Green winning 48-21. Last year Bowling Green ended Owensboro’s season in the 3rd round 50-21. Do the Red Devils have a chance or do the Purples add to their 7 game winning streak as they enter the playoffs as 2 time defending champs?
  9. South Warren finished 8-2 holding off Owensboro Catholic 21-16 in the rain. Graves County finished 6-4 beating Calloway County 36-13. 11. Oldham County at Highlands may be a good one. Both teams have been up and down. Oldham County has 4 losses, a 10 pt loss to South Oldham, 6 pt loss to Henry County is only bad loss but was season opener. Lost to Bullitt Central by 2 with starting QB out and Backup injured in first half finished with 3rd string QB. Lost to Collins by 7. Oldham is finally getting healthy and when healthy in good weather run and pass well, may be able to hang with the Bluebirds.

  19. May have been a defensive misalignment not sure but seemed like just a good block and RB didn’t have to make a cut just ran straight and in the slop no one could catch him. The field doesn’t seem to have a lot of mud but water standing in several places. Oldham County seems to be hurt more by field conditions limiting their offense. I am watching the Pegasus Broadcast.
  20. Oh, sorry to label him as a Trinity guy. Earlier this year I thought he was a DeSales guy, and at one time even PRP, haven’t been able to figure him out.
  21. I haven’t read much of barstool but after hearing about their dislike for Sam Ponder I realize I don’t value their opinion. She’s pretty cool, a coaches daughter that knows sports, attractive, and pretty funny has some good commercials with Sam’s Ponders etc.. Only negative that I could she is that’s she’s already taken.
  22. The game was moved due to heavy rain this morning in Louisville. Fern Creek’s field is still in pretty good shape and we want to keep it that way for playoffs. The AD’s from the two schools made arrangements where the game could still be played rather than cancelled or postponed like many other Louisville area JV games tonight. Before Trinity fans go blasting another team they should remember who will actually schedule them at JV and Freshmen levels. We also had negative comments from Trinity people after our freshmen game vs St. X ( not from X but from T). I don’t understand the negativity and we realize it’s coming from a select few fans and not the staff of Trinity. Still disappointing that if our kids actually read this site all they will see is someone questioning their character.
  23. There were 7 officials for Fairdale at Fern Creek, only 3 penalties. Fern Creek called for def holding and an illegal procedure, Fairdale called for facemask. Of course this was a running clock with 9:52 left in 2nd quarter.
