  1. First look at Spurrier, kid has famous name but a weird delivery or throw mechanics, grandpa needs to work with him
  2. Wow just got home and watching the stream. BG QB Buchanon goes 12 games without throwing an interception but throws three tonight
  3. Season 8 episode two is tonight. Right now the Gallagher’s seem to be prospering, but that never lasts.
  4. Wow Lynn Bowden is gonna be special. Glad to see him getting touches. Now gotta get him a TD.
  5. Harlan County is 7-5 after beating North Laurel 28-21. Southwestern is 10-2 after a 29-7 win over Whitley County. Harlan County is the only team not ranked in the BGP 5A top 15 that is still alive in the playoffs. The Black Bears are on a 4 game winning streak and seeking to win their first Regional Final since 2012. Southwestern had lost two straight at the mid season point but now have rolled off 7 wins. The last Regional Final win for the Warriors was in 2011, when they beat Harlan County 28-21. That was the last time the two had met. The teams have 3 common opponents: Southwestern beat Whitley County 29-7, beat Perry County Central 56-8, beat Pulaski County 54-20 Harlan County lost to Whitley County 16-27, beat Perry County Central 28-14, beat Pulaski County 40-0. Who wins?
  6. Both years it was also facing a #1 seed, and the lineup of the bracket changed this year in 5A, there is a new rule (credit to Jason Frakes for tweeting it out) that if two teams of the same seed meet in the 3rd round two seasons in a row the Home and away flips, but that doesn’t apply here.
  7. Montgomery County gets a great road win beating Doss 28-6. Madison Southern outlasts Anderson County with a 14-11 win. In the regular season meeting Montgomery County led 30-21 at the end of the 3rd qtr. Madison Southern scored two unanswered 4th quarter touchdowns to win 36-30. Who wins?
  8. Covington Catholic is 12-0 and the only undefeated team left in 5A. The Colonels routed Bullitt Central 49-0. South Oldham is 11-1 and trailed Highlands by 13 with 5 minutes left, the Dragons scored two late TD to get the 35-34 win. The last meeting of the teams was a regular season meeting in 2006 that Covington Catholic won 43-7. Covington Catholic is seeking to win their first ever 5A Regional Final since the KHSAA went to 6 classes in 2007. The Colonels were 3A State Champions in 2006. South Oldham is looking for their 2nd straight Regional Final win. Comparing scores of common opponents: CC beat Highlands 52-0, beat Bullitt East 56-14, beat Bullitt Central 49-0 SO beat Highlands 35-34, beat Bullitt East 48-13, beat Bullitt Central 42-7 Covington Catholic has had the running clock mercy rule in effect for all 9 games vs opponents from Kentucky this season. Can the Dragons stop that and have a shot against the Colonels???
  9. South Warren ended Christian County’s previously undefeated season with a 24-6 win. Bowling Green trailed Greenwood at the half but stormed back for a 42-21 win. Bowling Green won the regular season meeting 43-7. In that game Bowling Green QB Beau Buchanon completed 16 of 21 passes for 336 yards, 5 TD, no interceptions. 10. They give you shout outs every week, I have watched 7-8 Pegasus broadcasts this year, a few live mostly the archived ones
  11. Now 28-0 with 11 minutes left. Doss was able to come back and win at Fern Creek down 0-20 end of 3rd, but not looking good for them tonight.
  12. Utah Valley’s Head Coach is Mark Pope, they play Duke tomorrow night at 7.
  13. I upload the video for Fern Creek. I take the memory sticks out of each camera, take them home and upload. It takes about 45 min to an hour for each angle. I do the Sideline first then Pressbox. As soon as Sideline is done uploading you can exchange it with Hudl. We’ve had school start the trade as early as 10:30 pm on a Friday night. Fern Creek doesn’t have WiFi at the football field house so I upload at home. The exchange process is simple and can be done from the Hudl app on a smart phone.
  14. Jason Frakes wrote an article, PRP 'rallying together' after beloved teacher dies during childbirth
  15. PRP Head Coach Tommy Williams lost his wife due to complications of childbirth. Amanda was pregnant with twins, last I heard the babies are still fighting. Tommy and Amanda have an older daughter (I think 6 yrs old). Please pray for all of the PRP family.
  16. I pull for a bunch of teams that I either have friends coaching at or kids of friends playing at. Atherton - Head Coach Walker is a former teammate at Louisville Bulls (semipro) Henry County -Head Coach Wright also a Bulls alumnus Manual - Coach Lipsey and Coach Stoner are Bulls alumni, Coach Brown is a friend Oldham County - Player Jacob Ratliff’s dad is a friend and Bulls alumnus Franklin County - Coach Moore is a Bulls alumnus Trinity -don’t actively pull for them or against (they have enough support) but always happy for Strength Coach Snyder a Bulls alum DeSales - Freshman player Joe Gatewood’s dad is a former Bull. There are probably more Bulls players coaching and some more kids of former teammates as well but all I can think of.
  17. Apollo finished 7-3, losing to Daviess County 7-26. Greenwood finished 3-7, losing to Hopkinsville 6-31. Apollo has one of the best turn arounds in the state after last years 2-8 season where they didn’t make the playoffs. The Eagles will look to parlay that success into their first playoff win since 2005. Greenwood’s down season comes off two straight 9-3 seasons. Can the Gators get it together in the playoffs for a 3rd straight first round win? Who wins?
  18. It should read Harlan County beat Bell County instead of Abell County. Sorry did these posts on my iPad and autocorrect got me.
  19. Jtown has some good players they just don’t have near enough. They lost 40 players on their roster but dressed about 30 last night vs Oldham County. It was raining heavy at times and the entire Jtown bench was under a 10x15 pop up tent.
  20. Lincoln County finished 3-7, losing to Montgomery County 33-39. North Laurel finished 8-2, beating Clay County 55-13. The teams enter the postseason heading in two different directions, North Laurel is on a 4 game winning streak, while Lincoln County is on a 4 game slide. North Laurel has won their first round playoff game for 3 straight years. The teams had 3 common opponents: North Laurel beat South Laurel 36-12, beat East Jessamine 36–0, beat Clay County 55-13 Lincoln County lost to South Laurel 27-33, lost to East Jessamine 26-27, beat Clay County 42-6 Who wins?
  21. Harlan County finished 5-5, beating Abell County 22-6. Pulaski County finished 4-6, losing to Collins 6-17. Pulaski County has advanced to 4 straight 5A championship games, winning in 2014. Harlan County hasn’t won a playoff game since 2013. Can the Maroons put together another run or do the Black Bears play spoiler?
  22. South Laurel finished 5-5, beating Harlan 55-18. Whitley County finished 6-4, losing to Hazard 20-24. Whitley County is looking to advance to the second round for two straight years. Meanwhile South Laurel hasn’t won a playoff game since 2005. Who wins?
  23. Southwestern finished 8-2, holding off Lexington Catholic 53-47. Perry County Central finished 7-3 beating Prestonsburg 28-18. It is Perry County Central’s first playoff appearance since 2014, a first round loss to Southwestern 0-42. Southwestern hasn’t lost a first round playoff game since 2010 (0-45 to Whitley County), the Warriors did miss the playoffs in 2012 & 2013. Who wins?
