South Warren is 6-0 after beating Barren County 50-6. Greenwood dropped to 2-4 after a 19-49 loss to Bowling Green. Can the Gators slow down the Spartans? How will Gavin Spurrier do vs the Gators? His grandpa won a Heisman and a National Title as a Gator but was just 3-4 against the Gators.

Christian County is undefeated, coming off a 37-6 win over Marshall County. Owensboro is coming off a bye week as the Red Devils look to regroup after 2 straight losses to Bowling Green and Daviess County. Last season this game went to double overtime and Owensboro won 27-24. Does this years contest shape up to a similar game? Can Christian County make up for last year?

Years ago when I was still with Manual with Coach Nichols, we played Trinity in JV and after the game going thru the handshake lines one of our freshman linebackers who also played JV walked off with their coaches. his dad was already out talking to them.. The next day his parents returned all of his equipment and he transferrred to Trinity. Strangely enough the same day a Sophomore Linebacker from Trinity transferred in to Manual. He was upset that while started the other JV games they brought down some juniors to start over him vs Manual and he decided to leave. In this case we effectively traded linebackers, they were both good players who were apparently unhappy where they were. Both ended up graduating from their new schools and each started a couple years and went on to play Football in college. It was a weird scenario.

Owensboro fell to 2-2 losing to Bowling Green 21-48. The Red Devils travel to 6A Daviess County. Daviess County is 1-3, getting their first win last week 63-28 over Hancock County. The teams have a common opponent in Owensboro Catholic, Owensboro beat them 47-12, while Daviess County lost 31-33.

Bowling Green got back in the win column defeating Owensboro 48-21. Warren Central is struggling and winless at 0-4. Do the Dragons have chance? Can they give a good fight to the Purples?
