The Bears fell to 2A #2 DeSales 28-27 in a thriller Friday evening. The Western Warriors lost to Central 13-12 in another nail-biter. Look for Butler's overall talent to take over against Western.

Bears are simply much better than the Warriors.

This one may be interesting. I do think Butler will win. Western seems to have not had to go thru an adjustment period with the new coach, Preston King had them ready for Central. Western was up 12-0 at half and early in the fourth quarter were looking to score and the kid reached for the pylon but fumbled on the one yard line and it went into the endzone for a touchback. Central finally put together a 80 yard drive to score then I think they got an onside kick ( the kickoff was missing from trade video) and scored again in a short field to win. If that kid hadn't fumbled Western goes up 18-0 and probably too much for Central to make up.

This should be a great game, but Butler appears very blue-collar tough this year.

Game moved to Thursday night 7pm due to forecast of heavy rain and thunderstorms on Friday.

Pete, is the deal with moving a game that both head coaches have to be OK with it and that's it? Or is there more to it?

I am sure it had to be approved by either the coaches or Athletic Directors.

Jason Frakes did an article for The Courier Journal and it quotes Butler's AD and JCPS

Director of Athletics Jerry Wyman.

Western-Butler football game moved to Thursday

I am going with Western in this one...
