Rose Hill by 12

The 2003 Rose Hill Royals won the 16th Region All"A" and lost to St.Henry in the final. They also won the 16th Region and lost in the quarterfinals to Ballard.

No hidden meaning. Just from being around Rose Hill for the last 19yrs. you never know who is returning until day one of the school year.

I did. I was chauffeured until today. Then I had the privilage to have the company of a pretty young lady. It makes one feel good that your teenager doesn't mind to travel with her ole dad.

The only reason it was a "nice" butt kicking Coach Bradley showed mercy on the young Lady Royals. He did make a statement in the first quarter. The Lady Cats has improved since I first saw them early in the season. As has been posted already the Lady Royals never gave up. They played hard until the last buzzer. If the "Hill" can keep the girls together they will be the team to watch in a couple of years.

Congratulations to Hazard on a tough win. Nothing can be said to ease the disappointment in the loss for the Royals,but I want to say how proud I am of the team and coaching staff. They have nothing to hang their heads about. They played 3 good games and represented the 16th well. I wouldn't be surprised to see them at Rupp in March. Also want to add Rose Hill's fan support was excellant this week.

Congratulations to the Royals. This game showed a side of the Royals that I haven't seen. Who knows this style of play may pay off for them in the future. I like the up-tempo but I like wins more. Again great win and I will be there watching tonight. The picture in the Ashland Daily was extra special. Yours truly is in it.

I know that he is very humble but I have to throw FastBreak some props. I saw him dunk (3) Double Stuff Oreos in a row and not splash a drop of milk.:thumb:

Good job Elliott. Congratulations to the ladies from Elliott and to coaches Romer and Cantrell. Sounds like you never gave up. You made us proud here in the 16th Region. Keep your head high and concentrate on Districts. Also congratulations to the girls from Bardstown.

I am not very good at ranking teams. As we all know rankings mean nothing after the first tip-off. I would have to leave Elliott at #1 and Bath Co. and Rose Hill tied for the #2 spot. Bath did beat Rose Hill by 18 at the "Stew" and it took Rose Hill and extra 4mins to beat Bath at the "Tub". East at #3,Fairview #4, Morgan#5.

I bet the refs went wild. All those players on the floor at one time. :thumb:

Does the KHSAA get a percentage of the gate?

Coach Hicks a did a good job in preparing his game plan against Rose Hill. He keep a player on(literally)Euton. What impressed me about Euton is that he took the physical play. It would have been easy for a 16yr old to react to the physical play but he keep his cool and played the game. I didn't see him complain once to the refs. This is one of the reasons he(Euton)is a top 5 player in the Region.

If anything this would cause Mr.Hall give the close ones to whoever Rose Hill is playing. If being a "roomie" would give the advantage to Coach Fraley then I think that I would be calling Mr.Hall and ask what I did as a roommate to upset Mr. Hall. I have watched Bobby Hall call several Rose Hill games and doesn't give Rose Hill any breaks.

The Royals are 2 for 2 when you show up and spindoc buys the wings.:thumb: Congratulations to the Royals on a great win. I will be honest I had doubts that they would come back from being down 15. Thanks for proving me wrong. I agree the refs let the game get physical. This may help the young Royals in Richmond.

Rose Hill will win this rematch. Euton and Jackson are getting quality help. Tony Arthur is playing great defense, Mike Davis has been a force underneath and Robbie Barber has found his range outside.
