  1. Shoutout to the 35th District All-tournament Team Athens McGillis (CovCath) - MVP Nate Rominger (Holy Cross) Donovan Bradshaw (CovCath) Luke Arlinghaus (Holy Cross) Cash Harney (CovCath) Kingston Brockett (Beechwood) Mark McCutchen Jr. (Holmes)
  2. Whole schedule avg margin of victory is 33.2 ppg, which is pretty remarkable too.
  3. Covington Catholic plays at Eastern on 12/12 at 7:30 pm.
  4. I appreciate having this game on the schedule, but not necessarily surrounding the on court gameplay. 3 different interactions I observed just let's you know the level of character these young men displayed. 1) During CovCath’s traditional half court shots from half court. They included a player from St. Joes in this activity. 2) The Crazies splitting up into two different groups and each group supporting the home and away teams. This was done a couple years ago and just cool to see it again. 3) Both teams breaking bread after the game and getting to know each other. I believe CovCath passed out t-shirts to the St. Joes players.
  5. Harney’s great pass & Amazing TD catch by Bradshaw. WOW, this would have been good enough for Sunday!!! ScreenRecording_11-22-2025 11-02-15_1.mov
  6. Elder is rolling this year. #1 is the of Ohio!
  7. Given the circumstances, only 7 seconds left in the game being only 7 yards yards away. I like my chances playing man coverage where at least I’m in better position to bump or push him vs. being in zone and getting a free release. That would have been a very tough throw for Rio to make. At the end of the the day Tayden made a great catch.
  8. I would have never been in a zone defense in this situation. I would have called man to man. My whole point being Tayden was aloud to release the line of scrimmage cleanly. Wouldn’t happen in man to man. Now since they decided to play zone, the LB can’t allow a clean release in this situation either. Gotta get some type of bump. This at the very least gives the safety time to roll to the coverage. I would think the safeties where told don’t allow any one to get behind you. Zone was the worse defense to be in for this situation
  9. 1. At the end of the day the throws have to be within a catchable radius. A WR can have separation and the ball be under or over thrown. 2. Playing zone on that last TD play was inexcusable. Tayden got a clean release from the line of scrimmage. No bump, no push, nothing. So being in zone didn’t get the safety enough time to roll into the coverage. Good contract was made with the hit. Tayden made a great catch! The kid had already scored 3 TDs so everyone in the stadium knew where the ball was going except for the CovCath defensive coordinator.
  10. The thing about a personal foul call is it’s a judgment call. That was one of those quick bang plays and based on the official’s judgement to make a call or not. Seeing it live I didn’t think it was a personal foul. Was it a hard hit, yes, but a personal foul NO. The hit was made inbounds and the contact was in the chest area. It doesn’t appear that there wasn’t any contact made to the head or neck area. After seeing the video and picture I still don’t think it was a personal foul. Those extra 15 yards was huge in getting Highlands closer to scoring the TD on the final drive.
  11. It wasn’t specified as either of those, the ref just called a personal foul
  12. CCH defensive unsung HERO tonight, #56 Charlie Reeves!!! Take note he has made BIG plays in a couple different games this year! Continue to play hard Charlie!
  13. Very impressed with how Grayson Montgomery played. Completed 81% of his passes throwing 201 yards and 5 TDs!!!! Great night!
  14. I’ve been impressed with Harbin’s production. He’s making a very strong argument for Mr. Football!
  15. I thought Charlie Reeves (#56) played very well last night. Got some pressure on QB. He had a 7 total tackles and a sack!
