What are some standard and record attendance levels at state games? I know UK most of the time feels empty, WKU seemed to have the perfect size, but I know scheduling issues, I was not fortunate enough to see any in Louisville. I wouldn't want things to be sold out, but I would like to know what size venue is necessary.

Using a 3rd party district facilities is an administration nightmare, I am sure that was a backup plan if Franklin-Simpson had any issues hosting. Honestly, I'd say simpler to just move it there. I think it will be just in Franklin both years and gate money get split or something.

Game has been moved to Franklin due to the saturation and standing water on the Glasgow football field with more rain coming this week. Glasgow also likely to host 2 home playoff games and this late in the year, may be an attempt to avoid tearing up their field with a mud bowl and it not recovering as the grass goes dormant.

Slim chance that Lex Cath and CAL meet in round 3... seems kind of unfortunate if they are the two best in the class.

Wonder if Weather this week will play a factor. It's supposed to be very wet all week.

Glasgow hasn’t had a turnover since September 5… they’re about due for one and haven’t faced very much in game adversity and the kids have to start thinking about how good they are… last year FS won 35-21. Hopefully this isn’t a “Rat Poison” game and Glasgow comes out strong.

Can you run a simulation and see if Glasgow can stay ahead of Lex Cath if they both win. I’d really rather have Glasgow now go to CAL in the 3rd round if we can keep from it. Not saying we don’t respect Murray, but… Murray I don’t think is CAL lol.

First thing I thought of this morning was about how much Coach Estes hates RPI. Beat the #1 ranked team in 1A and still ranked behind them the next morning. Potentially meaning the 4th round would be an away game against Raceland instead of a home game. Crazy.

Glasgow Scotties (9-0) RPI #6 in 3A take on an always talented Franklin-Simpson (6-3) 4A. They have only lost to PT, Logan County, and a Whites Creek., TN team in arguably the deepest 4A district in the state. This is also Senior night for the Scottie’s and will be played on a Thursday night. We assume this has something to do with Halloween being celebrated on Friday in Glasgow as many streets in town become nearly impassible due to trick or treaters who swarm from all the surrounding areas in the fun festivities that are on display in the downtown area. Glasgow, who attempts to remain undefeated after breezing through their district play with the scoring margin of 247-24. The Scottie’s have dominated all three aspects of the game all season. Statistically their defense has shown time and time again to be elite. They are ranked 1st in 3A in PPG, 2nd overall in the state. (Atherton, 5A) and near the top in several other categories. Their offense provides a well balanced attack both running and passing very efficiently this season. Their QB Hudson Gumm just went 12-15 and threw for 5 TD passes against Edmonson. The talent that goes along with the offense/defense includes their elite Receiver/Corner SR Jerrick Martin, who’s college stock keeps rising, JR Jaylan Bradley, who is Dynamite in a bottle and does a little bit of everything for the Scotties, and SR Cam Bulle anchoring the RB and SS positions. Statistics for these gentlemen do not do them service as they have to share the workload and the Scottie’s have only been playing a half of football for much of the season. RPI has a large implication for the Scottie’s this week. They have aspirations to somehow become the 3 seed in the western half of 3A and keep trading places with Lexington Catholic as the RPI games get entered and updated. They play up against Franklin-Simpson, Lexington Catholic plays up against Ashland Blazer who does have a higher RPI than FS. To put this simple, If I did the math correctly, the Scottie’s need to win and Lex Cath needs to lose this Friday. It also depends on OOWP, so we really do not know what will happen if both teams win. Franklin-Simpson is still playing at a high level and have routinely beaten the Scottie’s. The head to head record favors the Wildcats all-time as well as since 2010. Franklin-Simpson leading 6-3 in that time span. This includes 3 straight as this nearly yearly scheduled game was formerly a district game during the last cycle. Also of note, FS is down a key player for them, getting hurt a few weeks ago. Franklin has scored a lot of points, but also given up a lot this season. Massey ratings has this game 42-14 in favor of the Scotties. The Scotties hope to make a deep playoff run and playing a quality team and probably the best team on the schedule as a whole, at least since Monroe. This very well could be considered as a game of the week candidate. The Scottie’s redemption tour continues as they very well may have a chance to overcome all their 6 losses from last season. The losses included Allen County, Barren County, Hart County, Adair County. The other two losses were Franklin-Simpson having that opportunity this week, and a likely second round opponent in Union County. Both of these teams have talent and are extremely physical at the LOS and defensively.

57-0 Edmonson held the ball a lot in the first quarter. They then started turning the ball over. Varsity played the 3rd quarter when it was 28-0. The score after three was 42-0 and Glasgow pulled the starters at the end of the third. The JV scored with about 2 minutes left and the JV went for two. Edmonson County deemed this running up the score and didn’t shake hands with Glasgow. I can assure you Glasgow just wants all their kids to play hard, they pulled their Dawgs early. Hard to not tell kids to try in my opinion.

Glasgow has had several blowouts recently.. I believe winning by at least 30 points in every game since September 12... 6/7 weeks in a row now. I wouldn't be surprised if the starters play a little longer tonight to stay in game shape a little longer. Last week it only took about 14 minutes to get the clock on LaRue. Especially big game coming up next week Vs. Franklin-Simpson.

This type of thing has happened near me recently where the PA was playing music coming out of a TO and the officials go to the HC to make it stop. Any HC does not want to worry about this during a game. Any HC would immediately become frustrated... especially if they have to report this to the game manager(principal, AD, etc) multiple times. The refs will then penalize the home team 15 yards for something essentially out of their control. I see the frustration and would also be frustrated... Not sure what was actually said and obviously that is inexcusable.

Has there ever been a running clock in all 5 games in the playoffs by the same team? just wondering.

Glasgow (8-0) #7 RPI come into this game rolling on Offense and Defense still only allowing 5.2 ppg and scoring right at 40 per contest. The QB play has been tremendous with Hudson Gumm going 9/11 (1 drop) last game and the explosive skill group on display all over the field featuring Jerrick Martin, Jaylan Bradley and Cam Bulle. Most media and coaches polls have Glasgow at #5 in 3A, but I think they could beat any in the 2-6 range on any given night. Glasgow has already secured the district title and are solely playing for the thought of perfection and playoff seeding. Edmonson (2-6) Have not had as fortunate of a season so far, though they do return their playmaker in Tristan Muse, son of defensive coordinator and former Barren County head coach and long time assistant Tommy Muse. They will be physical and have nothing to lose in this game. I would expect a ground and pound attack to try and keep Glasgow off the field.

I have never seen such a dominating performance by the entire team. Jaylan Bradley had 2 long interception returns in the first two drives. Big plays from him on offense as well. He may be one of the best players in 3A. Jerrick Martin is a man among boys with a long catch as well. He was just offered by WKU and West Georgia this week. Hudson Gumm continues to be essentially perfect in his passing efficiency and running ability as well. Cam Bulle had a long run early and an interception that would have been returned for a TD if not for a penalty. Total domination. I did not expect that at all.. I hope these Scottie’s can somehow avoid CAL in the 3rd round. They are playing special football right now. Hats off to coach Arnett and staff not allowing complacency to creep in. Can not wait for the Franklin game week 11.

When I saw Logan scrimmage Glasgow at the beginning of the season and Glasgow beat them 54-13 I really just thought Logan was going to be bad this year. It’s so crazy it was 35-27 and then 63-27. Wow.

I do kind of like the idea of "Conferences" instead of districts for football. Football is already so different than other sports who have definitive districts that rarely change. I do not know how things were done in the past, but is there a way to maybe have a tournament style postseason with the rankings you are talking about? What would the criteria be? Would they potentially take the top 8 or 16 from the east and west and do a seeding for the first 2-3 rounds and then merge the east and west (thinking of the current 3-5th round) or straight up seeding based on RPI 1-8/12/16 or whatever the amount for the postseason. If that is the case, RPI, CALpreps, Massey rating, or whatever they would use would be so much more cutthroat. The out of state games would have to be fixed or some of the great teams may miss out completely on the playoffs. I am thinking Belfry and PT in 2021 as they were both 4-6 and ranked 14 and 15th in the class and ended up in the state championship game. Would you have to play so many conference games to qualify? how would all of that work? I know we have real no say, but I think that is a great idea @Calico Jack.
