All right my Raiders cracked the top 1!  I hope they prove themselves worthy on Friday vs. Russell for the district crown.

I’m fixing to say something that’s going to get me roasted. I honestly don’t believe CAL is the lock I once thought they were. Now do I still expect them to win it yes but I think Lexington Catholic is closer to them than people think. And I think on any given night they could beat CAL.

I am not going to roast you and the teams are probably close enough that anything could happen but I still expect CAL to beat everyone in 3A by a lot/a running clock.

Has there ever been a running clock in all 5 games in the playoffs by the same team? just wondering.

Not that immediately comes to mind.

Why would you get roasted for that?  Any team can be beaten on a given night.  Nobody probably thought Boyle County would be beaten last year either, but upsets happen.  All things even, I think CAL is 3-4 TDs better than anyone else in 3A, but another team plays light out & CAL plays sluggish & that gap closes to next to nothing very quickly.

Regardless of class or opponents, that’s fairly impressive.

I want to add here JC did lose one game in 2016 and it was the last game of the regular season, 21-16 to Belfry.

Then Belfry went on to win 3A:

Fri, Nov 4, 16 Bath County home (W) 50-0 R1
Fri, Nov 11, 16 Fleming County home (W) 61-0 R2
Fri, Nov 18, 16 Russell home (W) 43-12 R3
Fri, Nov 25, 16 Corbin away (W) 42-17 R4
Sat, Dec 3, 16 Central (W) 52-31 Championship
