Really impressive. I got a feeling your pain is going to get worse because this Pikeville run isn't close to being over. Belfry on the other hand is playing in 3A with a 2A enrollment. It is possible they could have a 1A sized enrollment the next time they realign. Everyone is leaving.

I know it is different, but I also that there are more kids in Boone, Campbell, and Kenton counties than all of the mountains. And the land area isn't as big as Pike County by itself. There are lots of good coaches everywhere but when a school board hires the right coach and the community gets behind them it can happen. You get the right coach in a good public school you might get all the kids that live in your district and some more might be willing to move there.

With so much population and talent so close, it is just a matter of making the right hire. I live in Johnson County so I got to watch it happen here.

I can see, it is an 8 hour bus ride from PT to Belfry, we have seen that matchup in the finals. And with Belfry's falling enrollment we could definitely see a Belfry Mayfield matchup in the future, another 8 hour ride. One of the downsides to RPI.

Congratulations to CovCath, the defense in second half was great. Only team all year that JC couldn't run the ball against.

Apparently Ashland's offense is very,very good.

I think all 4 losses to Highlands was during Highlands' 6 titles in a row run. Man they were good.

In 16 it would not have mattered. 19 would have been a good game.

Even though it would be a really tall order this year, Johnson Central has made 6 of the last 8 4a title games being one dimensional. It seems to work there.

This is going to be a great, competitive game. The 4a championship is almost always very close. 4A hasn't had a dominant, way better than everybody else team since 2016.
