Johnson Central is a heck of a tough team. Their rushers were running downhill all night. And they had a really, really solid defensive line.

Didn't expect that kind of score.   Did the weather have anything to do with Johnson Central struggling, or did the Colonels just play inspired football tonight?

Inspired football.  D line controlled the game for CCH.

JC moved the ball in first half, down a possession with the second half kickoff so felt wide open at half.   But I don’t think they got a first down in the second half till the last drive 

Johnson Central did not have an answer for the CCH passing game.  Braylon Miller was HUGE tonight.  Pitzer is smooth back there.  He got jacked at least three times on the option plays and bounced right back up.

Congrats to Covington Catholic I do not remember the last time a team shutout JC. Frustrating loss for JC with lots of punts and mistakes. 

I know the QB has to sell the option but the DE decked Pitzer three times hard.  Might want to dodge a little.  

Nothing at all again our stout Defensive Backfield, but the Colonels front 7 tonight was devastating…..especially in the 2nd half was Eddie and Coach Brown were able to yet again make some spectacular halftime adjustments.  Congrats to My Colonels and to the Colonel D on a helluva night!!!

That tight end was doing exactly what he's coached to do and was up in Pitzer's grill from the word go. That play went off so fast with them running towards the short side of the field that Pitzer didn't have a whole hell of a lot of time to sell anything. He was focusing on getting the ball out of his own hands and on target into Leen's hands instead of just being tackled for a 3 yard loss. And with the infrequency in which we've run that pitch play I feel like it's pretty understandable that he's not looking like a pro.
