Indiana played without Aliyah Boston and missing their best big showed. They had a lot of issues trying to stop Malonga and Awa Fam (6’6” and 6’4”). The other Indiana bigs will need to step up down the stretch. Not much of a break as they are back at it tomorrow night vs New York.

To me, this says Hunter Greene is on the way out of town and soon. Unless ownership has a change of heart and fortunes, or there is an ownership change, they aren't ponying up 2 big 15 mil a year contracts for suspect arms.

What does a batter say to himself between pitches? What actually gets talked about during a mound visit or during a pitching change? What do outfielders say to themselves and others when they are on their island out in the outfield? I mean you would need someone with a quick mute button finger, for those that can't seem to deal with coarse language...but give us the game. It's akin to listening to musicians having studio chatter during a session...let us have a glimpse of the inside. So much more interesting than questioning a person only half paying attention because they are actively working at their job.

From last night (Sorry, I was dog tired and went to bed right as the final horn sounded.) Indiana 92 Phoenix 89 Kelsey Mitchell leads all scorers (again) with 29. Aliyah Boston was back in the lineup and tossed in 21. Caitlin Clark did not play as the Fever were not going to play her on back to back nights while she continues to nurse a back ailment. I often see headlines, but rarely read the opinion disguised as a story that follows, that the Fever play better when Clark is not in the lineup. Anyone that has watched the last 2 nights can kind of see why. When Clark is not in the lineup, teams are not anywhere remotely as physical with Indiana as they are when she is playing. No constant hand checking and pushing. The screens aren't as hard and drives to the hoop are not as rough and tumble. Always easier to play when a battle royal isn't breaking out.

One of the worst officiated basketball games I have ever watched (and that's saying something for the WNBA). Basically, if you set a screen, you were getting whistled for an offensive foul. The league has a big issue to fix.

If someone is willing to give up good prospects for a suspect arm...go for it. Hunter spends more time on the IL than he does on the mound.

I am not a casual baseball fan. It has always been my favorite sport and I am lucky to have MLB accessible to me in the area I live. The Cincinnati Reds rarely dictate my desire to go to a game. When they are playing well, yeah, I enjoy it and will go to be a part of the excitement. But I also just enjoy going to be with family and friends. Or, if I get a wild hair, I will go by myself for a variety of reasons. Maybe to see my favorite team (Baltimore Orioles) or to see a particular player. I've gotten to see Mike Trout, Shohei Ohtani, Aaron Judge, and in the past the likes of Nolan Ryan, Tom Seaver, Barry Bonds and Junior. Baseball is just fun. The current Reds administration does as much as they can to make it not fun. A typical scenario for me was something like: let's take in a game. Buy a ticket, hop in the car drive into Newport, and cross the Taylor Southgate and park in the East garage in Cincy. From there...short walk to the gate. Buy a coke, dog and a pretzel then sit in and watch the game. Now, the food is WAY to expensive (unless it's $2 dog night.). Was there last night and if you want a whole pizza to feed the family...$45.99. But I know overpriced food is part of the deal. What REALLY hacked me off is that the beloved East garage is now prepaid pass only. Ended up parking at the Levee and walking, the bridge. No huge deal for me...but I honestly think that Reds ownership is doing as much as they can to drive the casual fan away. Put a bad team on the field, give them no way to park conviently near the park and bankrupt them for a meal. But they stated their stance a couple years ago..."Where else you gonna go"
