2026 All-Star Broadcast

AL won the game 4-0 over the NL.

Coverage was good.  I, however, am having a love hate relationship with one aspect of the FOX broadcast.

I LOVE the idea of having players mic'd up during the game....BUT PLEASE stop trying to interview them.  Just mic them up and give us "sounds of the game".  What does a batter say to himself between pitches?  What actually gets talked about during a mound visit or during a pitching change?  What do outfielders say to themselves and others when they are on their island out in the outfield?  I mean you would need someone with a quick mute button finger, for those that can't seem to deal with coarse language...but give us the game.

It's akin to listening to musicians having studio chatter during a session...let us have a glimpse of the inside.   So much more interesting than questioning a person only half paying attention because they are actively working at their job.
