  1. I think this will be close for most of the game, With SK pulling it out late. 35-21 SK.
  2. I’d just like to see the WR get the ball before we run the QB in the ground. Gregg has 73 carries on the season that’s the most from any QB and more than most RBs across the state. Yes he’s a big strong runner but how long can he keep it up with these tough teams we play. Dixie still has play Highlands, Conner, Cooper, and Ryle. That’s a lot of hard hitting defenses before you even reach the postseason.
  3. Respectfully I’m going with Cov Cath by 17. Beechwood is good but Cov has more depth. Best of luck both teams.
  4. Fryman who scored 4 times is a freshman.
  5. Dixie still isn’t passing the ball enough. This team is too deep with athletes to keep using the same two week in and week out. If teams are going to play you in man coverage why not take advantage of it. I keep reading how Dixie shouldn’t hang their heads with the 1-3 record, and I hate to say it but yes they should. At the end of the day you are 1-3 not 4-0 like you should be. So hang your head and get back to work. If I’m a Dixie WR it’s time to have that talk with coach.
  6. They are weak. I went to the SK Beechwood game last night after our game. The fans are screaming at the refs and the beechwood parents. They had no problem with the refs week 1 when we had 17 penalties compared to SKs 3. They should be 0-4.
  7. Sounds like SK dodged a bullet.
  8. Great game by both teams. Dixie gets the much needed bye week before jumping into district play. This team is so close to being a contender.
  9. Hopefully Dixie added some Sweeps to the playbook. Seems like every play has been a dive or a go route.
  10. They play the last week of the regular season.
  11. I think you can use this order for all sports in the county. In that order.
  12. I brought this up a few years back to some people and all anyone could care about was other sports. Saying it wouldn’t be right for all those other kids who aren’t good enough to make an “allstar team”. As I told them then and stand by it today, if you aren’t good enough then get better. Boone County has too much talent spread between 3 schools it’s ridiculous. I say 3 because Boone isn’t much in any sport anymore because those kids leave for Lloyd.
  13. Basically. OC played LCA last season in the 3rd round. Then LCA went to Mayfield for the 4th. Before Mayfield took on Beechwood in state. While Beechwood played Shelby Valley in the 3rd and Lloyd in the 4th.
  14. If Dixie comes out like they did last week game it will be a long night. They have to keep control of the ball and get some points on the board in the 1st quarter. Rice, Beach, and Kriger need to be more involved in the offense not just this week but the rest of the season.
  15. Campbell has 1,023 yards on the season and 505 of them came against highlands.
  16. Beechwood Highlands Owensboro Catholic CAL Carmel
  17. This team is a few plays away from 3-0. As they sit at 1-2 with losses to Simon Kenton and Beechwood. The red Colonels take on the blue Colonels this week before going into the bye week, then into district play. They have shown a dominant run game back to back weeks with 95 rushing attempts for 694 Yds. 74 of those attempts are split between Gregg ( 240 Yds 3TDs) and Anderson (368 Yds 5TDs). Dixie’s leading receiver in yards is currently Beach with 112yds on 4 receptions. Followed up by Mwamba with 101yds 1TD on 5 receptions and Kriger with 97yds 1TD on 5 receptions. Blank leads the team with 2 receiving TDs. Defensively the Colonels are lead by Rice with 44 tackles and Dodds with 29. Rice has been lights out throughout the first 3 games. He has 44 total tackles, 27 Solo, 11 TFL, and 4 sacks. Dixie has a team defensively has 23.5 TFL and 13.5 Sacks (4 Rice and 4 Dodds) while snagging 6 interceptions. MY OPINION: This team will make run in Districts and the postseason. They have to make stops on 3rd and 4th down. I’d like to see a couple more passes across the middle of the field.
  18. Beechwood hit for big plays late in game. If you went to the game you might have noticed they came after a stoppage.
  19. FullSizeRender.MOV Here is the play. Unless he screamed some words while tackling him I see nothing unusual.
