I'll be honest, I really didn't expect Highlands to allow 35 points and 505 yards to the Campbell County offense. I was especially surprised to see that the Camels had 373 yards passing because I felt like Highlands was pretty effective covering receivers last week against Cov Cath.

I think the biggest thing that Campbell Co. got right was getting the ball out quickly. Highlands DL is probably the best part of their defense and the fact that campbell schemed to get the ball out quick and not allow the Highlands pass rush to develop helped them out.

I’d argue that Highlands gave 0…well you can finish that…..about stopping anyone.  They wanted to score as many points as possible to prove a point.

Campbell has 1,023 yards on the season and 505 of them came against highlands.

For comparison purposes, Campbell County had a total of 131 yards offense against Beechwood, 50 yards passing and 81 yards on the ground. And almost all that came in the second half. Campbell County had 2 first downs in the first half against Beechwood. That makes me wonder what Highlands was doing. Maybe like throwback32 said - Highlands did not care. If true, that is a problem.

Why?

There was a lot of second guessing going around the Fort after the CovCath game and I believe they wanted to prove everyone wrong.  At least that's what the little blue birdies flying around 41075 are saying.  Plus with Coach Weinrich on the other sidelines they wanted to remind everyone that the current staff is better than the old.

Any idea why coach Weinrich wouldn't shake hands with the staff after the game? I know the history but the staff members had nothing to do with how he ended his coaching career at Highlands.

I don't ever condone this type of behavior but multiple 2 point conversion attempts, onside kick up 14-0, and still throwing the ball deep in the 4th quarter once the game was well in hand may have played a part.  Not excusing the refusal to shake hands, but if I were coaching these things would have set me off as well.

Bob doing Bob things.

When you can’t beat the big man, you take it out on the little man!

Unbelievable. Then again, it is believable because it’s Sphire.
